Private college for biotech

Good aspects: curriculum and syllabus offered is better than other colleges. Annual events are conducted. Friendly environment. Bad aspects: lack of equipment or reagents for experiments. College is located on the highway where there are no shops near by. Admission can be done by entrance test for other exams or by their own exam. Admission can be done online. College provides a course 'medical biotechnology' that is unavailable elsewhere. College was found by word of mouth and visiting their website.

There are adequate amount of teachers for the number of students and subjects. Most of the faculty have a PhD and others have a masters with teaching experience. There is a mix of good teachers and teachers that are not able to teach well. The teaching method of PowerPoint presentations is very boring. The exams are conducted well. There are internals and externals placed appropriately throughout each semester. It is not difficult to pass, one can easily score great marks. There are marks for attendance as well.

There is a campus placement cell in our college. Companies visit from semester 7 to 8. That is the last year. Most students opt for completing their masters degree. Plenty of companies visit. Highest package is 40,000 lowest is 10,000.

National scholarship portal allows low income families to pay the fees. Other financial assistance has to be arranged on your own. The college gave toppers a scholarship of 3000 rs only for one year. Fees are hiked out 1.5% every year although this percentage can vary. The fees mainly include teaching and equipment facilities. Campus job opportunities are limited.

There is an annual fest. There are various activities conducted throughout the year. There is a library and e resources available. Classroom has a projector. There aren't good facilities for sports or extracurricular activities. From this year various clubs such as book club, art club, performing arts club has been started.

Hostel facilities are very poor. I recommend finding another location to stay like a pg or flat or hostel elsewhere. The food is not even average. The mess facilities are poor. The hostels are clean but there is no wifi provided. There are many apartment nearby tathawade where one can stay.

A written test was taken for admission. Other criteria includes passing 12th grade. I prepared by studying the same syllabus for neet. The exam is not very tough. The rank you get in the test will determine if you get admission or not. Seats will be filled in order of rank.
