Remarks

The college has good placements and is a well known college throughout Karnataka. People even join this college from all over the world and since Bangalore is an IT hub, joining such a college would benefit me in a lot of ways

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in the electronics branch and wanted to explore more of it. Things were difficult during corona time as we had online classes but offline exams. Faculty teaching is above average and depends on the particular teachers. Passing is definitely very easy

I'm currently in third year and companies are arriving for providing internships. More than 150 companies visit BMS every year. 48 lakh was the highest package offered last year and average package depends on the each branch. My plans after getting the degree is to get a job

College Events

Tech fest is conducted during odd semesters and annual fest is conducted during even semesters. A lot of books are available in the library and are really helpful. Sports and extracurricular activities are given a lot of priority and are never ignored. Rotaract club, entrepreneurship development cell, Melton foundation, newsletter production team and so on.

Campus Life

Library is huge and beautiful. We have a indoor stadium for badminton and basketball. Student's play cricket and other outdoor games in the field. We are required to register for the Wi-Fi and it is provided only for our laptops. Equipments for labs is above average

Admission

I did not face any group discussion, interview or written test for admission. I was directly admitted based on my entrance examination CET rank. No students faced any interview and were directly admitted

Other colleges were not chosen as my rank wasn't suffecient enough. Comparitively to other entrance exams the best colllege with my rank would have been BMS. Hence the reason for choosing it..Admission process is throgh competetive exams or management quota.Competetive exams taken are COMEDK and KCET...the cutoff ranks again depend on the branch but go as low as 2000 for CS and related branches and upto 50000 for Civil and others..it can go even higher if reservation applied)...Read More

Overall summary of my college in Bengaluru.

I gave first preference to RVCE, but as my rank was less compared to cut off, I was unable to get a seat in the college and I ended up getting the seat in BMSCE which was my 2nd preference. The admission process is easy not much hectic. They will provide all the procedure required for admission. They even have their own mail system, they provide college mail id to all the students. I chose this college because I wanted to pursue CSE and this college seems to be a good option to do so. I did get rejection from a few colleges because I could crack their entrance exam.
