Remarks
It was one of the top NIT and was ranked 11th in all India as per NIRF ranking. After IIT Bombay it is the 2nd best college of Maharashtra. In terms of placement too it's good and for the CS people minimum package was 7 Lac per annum. For placements all the dream company comes like Morgan Stanley, Jp Morgan, Amazon, Microsoft etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted Mining engineering. Curriculum wise it's best as it include mandatory Mines visit from the 2nd year so will be having total of 3 visits in different Mines (Coal, Manganese and Uranium). With this there was 2 vocational trainings provided by college itself. If i talk about the faculties most of them have field experience.
Internships Opportunities
For the intership in Mining engineering. It's provided by college it self. I did internship with Manganese ore India limited (MOIL), Balaghat and Coal India limited.
Placement Experience
There were lot of comapnies even for the core department. Like in mining department. We got the comapnies like Coal india limited (PSU), vedanta ltd, Adani, Larsen & tubro, some cement companies as well.
College Events
I would say VNIT held central India's largest technical festival. This festival is for school people as well as in this fest they conduct different events for the school kids too. For the management there is a Entrepreneur cell. It conduct management fest as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
I availed loan fron the campus SBI bank. They don't require too much of the document and need just the admission letter and some more identification documents and it's without any collateral. The rate of interest was 9.5%.
Campus Life
I like the wifi facility of my campus. They provided LAN service and it's of high speed. I mean best speed I experienced in my life. For the indoor games there is different complex and it includes almost all the indoor games. It have football ground, cricket ground and basketball arena etc.
Hostel Facilities
I thinkn all the NIT are having extra budget for the hostels. They have good hostels of 5 floors and all in good condition and newly constructed. Hostels washroom are in good condition and they have gyser too for all the weather.
