Best cool & calm college to make real human.

All teachers are very much student friendly no union activities no strike happened in this college which has both good & negative effects most students come from middle class families yet some rich family students bump classes which may affect the others.

As this college is non-technical college, so at that time mostly no internship happened. But excursions are must for those days. Both in second & third year visit to places like kalyani university etc was performed to grow the awareness among students.

As mainly nature of a non-technical college with science subjects only, no such direct placement cell does have the college. But its students are mostly placed after years. I trust it is one of the best college in West bengal still today.

First said it is freshers welcome inaugurated by the principal maharaj of the college after Puja festival a puja ceremony is happened saraswati Puja & related activities are a regular yearly event.

Fee structure is as well as any govt. aided colleges in bengal probably not so much for a middle class family. At that time it was more or less 2000/ per year for zoology including all. Scholarships available for meritorious and poor students. Fees generally paid at the time of admission or before the form fill up of the final exams.

Many scholarships including state govt. scholarships and scholarships under the donator of this college and funded by college teachers are available to poor but meritorious students. College faculties very much helpful in this regard money can never be a problem in this college.

I participated with fun in the annual sports and cultural event of this college. That was remained in the centre of my mind for many years. No caste, race or religion activities found here. Under the strong hand of "Maharaj" and light of Swami Vivekananda this college maintains a strong bonding among all kind of students.

Its hostels are nearby the college alongwith the B.ed. college situated closely to it no ragging. Strong discipline and prayer must for hostelians self service is mandatory. Food qualities are exceptional. To maintain the hostel environment cool & calm is of prior importance. Hostel is in front of a vast green field. The rental for hostel was only 500 per month including fooding & lodging a guest facility also.

My seniors only encourage us at the first day of our college, no other talks perhaps the only one college in the country. The seniors hava made friendships with us no unhealthy environment between them and us they helped us in all the way we remember.

Exams are yearly, sometimes class test have been taken test exams are taken to assess students and discuss their problems before each year final exams.

The faculty consists of 8 full time teachers for the subject of Zoology alone the chemistry dept of this college had a large fame university places occurred from this college. Dr. Shyamapada Ghosh was the HOD of our dept all teachers are here with Ph.D. qualifications many are guest lecturers of calcutta university.
