NMIMS is perfect

A lot of my relatives and friends have been to NMIMS and I always heard good reviews. The college offers high placement packages and state of the art facilities.Mumbai being the financial capital is a hub for all the finance and corporate giants was an ideal location for a college.

NMIMS goes beyond traditional classroom learning and aims to achieve practical results through corporate events, guest lectures from business leaders and live workshops. The Institute boasts of faculty base of international acclaim. The teacher student ratio is by far one of the best in any of the Tier 1 or Tier 2 colleges for Management. Apart from the regular faculty, students also get exposure to some of the most distinguished visiting faculty and tycoons of the business.

Yes, Internship is provided by the placement cell of the college as well. The highest performance based stipend recorded was Rs. 90,000 thought this was exceptional; average stipend ranged from INR 10-15,000. I interned at Oyo as Trainee Human Resources and received a decent stipend along with exceptional on the job experience which helped me prepare for the coming placement season.8-10 weeks of internship is mandatory as part of the core curriculum.

NMIMS offers excellent placements with high packages. MBA students are at an advantage as the course is much sought after.Some of the companies coming in for placements are Zomato, Oyo, Reliance Jio,Kotak Mahindra, Makemytrip, Sandisk, Bombay Dyeing etc.The highest package achieved was 17LPA. About 48 companies visited during my time offering multiple job roles.

Fee structure at NMIMS MBA is pricey but it makes up for it in terms of internships and placements provided. The university does not directly offer any scholarship. However it qualifies for MBA Scholarship under IDFC bank's CSR scheme. Since it is a technical program under a recognized university external student aid can be encouraged.

Campus is the star attraction of life at NMIMS. The space is always abuzz with various activities, there are a lot of clubs to cater to every possible stream and also extra curricular clubs like Movie Club. There is even Hito, the HR club for students of MBA HR. organisations like these made me feel more in touch with the relevance of my education at NMIMS.Clubs for events like Moot Court Club also exist. Tvaran is the annual cultural fest of the college, held with great gusto. Participants are encouraged to attend from all the campuses of NMIMS.

Hostel facility is expensive but lives up to every penny. Excellent food provision and other amenities are provided. Students have access to extracurricular zones as well in their free time. Since the college is located in Navi Mumbai, hostel is ideal to reside in as the area does not have much to offer in terms of quality of accommodation.

To seek admission at NMIMS, I had to gop through the NMAT examination conducted by the university. Post qualifying for the said examination, I appeared for a Case Discussion (group discussion of sorts) with other applicants. The final round was the interview taken by the esteemed faculty of the University to test my eligibility and vision for the program.
