Remarks
The admission into IIM Rohtak is through clearing the minimum CAT score that the college requires. First, clear the minimum CAT score. I met the eligibility criteria, the college calls for future selection rounds, including Group discussion and Personal interview. Once you clear the GD/PI round, you will get the shortlist from the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The PGP is a two year course, course curriculum: The first year consists of 3 terms followed by a summer internship, which is mandatory to be promoted next year. SIP gives an exposure to the industry putting theoretical knowledge into practical knowledge. The 2nd year consists of 3 terms, followed by getting a final placement in a dream company, reputed brand, start-up or any organisation.
Internships Opportunities
The roles offered by different companies at IIM Rohtak are business development, business analysts, product manager; management trainee in sales, marketing, customer experience; HR intern, policy manager, marketing associate, operations and supply chain.
Placement Experience
The campus provides a 100% placement; students secure jobs in their dream company. The summer internship placement process starts in July and ends in March next year, where students get roles and responsibilities according to their field of interest. The SIP is for 2 months, from April to June. Talking about the final placement which starts again in July and ends in February. Most of the students end up getting the desired role in their dream company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure consists of term fees and mess fees for six terms in a 2-year course. Opportunities to get a scholarship, financial assistance is provided by the college as they have tie-up with many banks to help students smoothly get loans. The campus provides outstanding job opportunities in the SIP and final placements at IIM Rohtak. Placements are marvellous with 100 per cent placements, and a hike in average is seen every year due to faculty's high-quality education.
Campus Life
Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak is a dream for many but a home for few. I am grateful to be a part of it. The campus is a fully student-driven college, including committees selection, industry visit, mess food selection, Live project opportunity, companies visiting campus and other activities. The college has a lush green campus having an academic building, 24*7 operating library, mess, gym, basketball court, badminton court, etc. The college has multiple committees, domain and non-domain clubs allowing everyone to showcase their talent in all manners at different events and fests.
Interview Experience
Selection in IIM Rohtak is made through clearing a minimum CAT score of 95%. Once you clear this criterion, the college calls for further rounds that include a Mock PI of 20-30 minutes. In Mock PI, frequently asked questions are why MBA, what makes you the best fit at IIM Rohtak, why the change in the field/domain (e.g., CSE to MBA), SOP, etc. I prepared for Mock PI by giving multiple PI to different faculty at TIME coaching, various coaching institutions help in assisting Mock GD and Mock PI once you are eligible for any college.
