Remarks

We only have a quota for defense employees at our college, with an 80 percent reserve. The majority of the pupils come from a military background. The admissions procedure went without a hitch. Before the start of the class, we had counseling. You have to have a bachelors' from a recognized board along with a minimum 50 percentile in the SNAP exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

In comparison to students in the general group, fees were lower for students with a military background. The difference was almost 6-7 lakhs. Exams are scheduled for the 6 trimesters. We get homework at the end of the month in addition to quizzes. The overall online examination process is smooth, and the difficulty level is above average. Faculty guides are well versed with the course and very professional.

Internships Opportunities

All students are also promised summer internships. The key industries from which corporations come include staffing (HR), financial institutions, power sector, consultancy, real estate, hotel, pharma, IT, FMCG, and BFSI. The highest stipend is Rs 85,000-1 lakh, whereas the average stipend is Rs 40,000-45,000.

SIMS' placement cell is quite active. They make certain that every student is placed. The average CTC is Rs 10,00,000 per year, with the greatest CTC's reaching Rs 20+ lakhs per year. Some of the primary industries that top corporations recruit include IT, retail, ed-tech, banking, FMCG, Cloud solutions, and so on.

Fees and Financial Aid

MBA costs more than ten lakhs in most parts of the nation. However, it is lower for IITs. Fees in symbiosis colleges and branches are typically similar, however at SIMS, we have a defense quota, therefore our fees are lower. ROI is decent considering placements are of around 8-10 lakhs per year.

Campus Life

There are 13 clubs and committees founded here, all of which are elected by students for the benefit of the students. There is excellent news for sports fans: we have a large green field for cricket, football, basketball, and other games. There is a literary club, alumni club, economics cell, finance cell, HR club, etc.

Interview Experience

There was a WAT and PI round. WAT time is 20 minutes. The topic is based on current affairs and GK. PI questions are about your personality, your academic background and also some based on the economy.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. SIMS, Pune: A good option for MBA Finance!

Like all other colleges under Symbiosis University, SIMS too, requires clearing the cut off of the SNAP entrance exam. The cut off is usually 92 percentile. After getting shortlisted for the same, there is a GD, WAT, PI round, where in the further competencies of the candidate is tested. The WAT topics are like complete the story kind, GD topics (if conducted) are mostly from current affairs, and the interview questions are usually about one's personality and self, with few academic questions as well. Life at SIMS

I have applied for 3 colleges under the SYMBIOSIS umbrella namely SIBM, Pune SIMS,Pune SCHMRD, Pune. In SIMS Pune i got admission through the defense quota. If we talk about the criteria of college First you have to give a snap exam after that if you are in the cut-off list then you are invited for GDPI Round which is a very fun loving and learning experience for me. This is the motto that Symbiosis is known for and also abides by. Symbiosis, or to particularly say Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies has always thrived to Make A Difference. SIMS has always been known as an Institution for students with a defence background as it provides 90% seats to them and 10% seats to civilians/open-category students. This provides a good diversity ratio among students. SIMS is ranked 9th overall in India & is among the top 3 B-Schools in the state of Maharashtra in private institutes in India.
