Remarks
The first step is to clear the CAT exam cut offs. They are usually 99.5 percentile (approx). You have to clear both the esectional and total score cut off. After that, you will have an online WAT and PI round. PI happens when 3 interviewers ask questions based on current affairs, GK, situational questions, etc. WAT topics are general, don't stress too much about it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The MBA curriculum of IIM-C is very comprehensive, robust and well reputed. They groom you for finance, marketing, consulting, etc. There are around 25 students per faculty. Faculty guides are very professional, helpful and with tons of experience. End term exams happen smoothly, and the papers are not very difficult. Just listen well in classes, and you will sail through!
Internships Opportunities
Summer placements, too are 100% guaranteed to all students. The overall process doesn't last more than 10 days! Product management companies, IT giants, BFSI etc come for recruitments, here. The internship is for 2 months. The average stipend is 1.5 lakhs rs per month and it can go as high as rs 1,72,000 per month.
Placement Experience
IIM-C guarantees 100% placement to all students. It is considered as a prestigious university and is the priority of many firms from the marketing, BFSI, IT and consulting sectors. The average package is around Rs 30,00,000 per year and the packages go up as high as Rs 60,00,000 per year!
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per year is almost Rs 11,50,000 per year. Even though it is quite expensive, but every single penny spent is worth it. The placements are excellent, making the ROI even more favourable. IIM's offer scholarships to those who are not from financially sound backgrounds.
Campus Life
There are many clubs and committees. Each of them conduct fests, events and exciting contests, regularly. Sports club, music club, dramatics society, dance club, you name it all and its here! Academic cells like economics cell, Finance club, marketing cell, etc are also there. The online library is very robust and wholesome.
Interview Experience
There was only a WAT and PI round. WAT topics were based on your understanding of the economy, society and current affairs. For the PI, go through your CV well and prepare questions based on that. You can be asked questions on academics, depending on your UG course. PI will also invite questions based on current affairs, and for the same ensure you have gone through the newspapers regularly, well in advance!
