Remarks
By eamcet i had joined this college. There are special seat reservations under NRI and management quota. I had no reservation so, through the general category I had joined this college. At around 5k~ 9k rank, there is a positive chance of getting a seat in this college (general).
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum had to change during my time. It was quite outdated and the teaching pedagogy didn't align with the present industry standard. I mean, students seeking placements in the software field, had an elective (programming language) in the final year, which is sort of disadvantage to the student as there would be no scope of participating in tech events and enriching their profile would not be possible, this is for non-cse group.
Placement Experience
Placements are offered only when you are a studying member in college. Post graduation, you are not even cared. placement hub is doing really a good job to get students placed by teaching them the necessary aptitude skills etc, the placements are around ~3-7 LPA. Most weightage of students in 3-4 LPA and almost all of them are software, a few in sales etc. If one is planning for a gate it is very tiresome juggling with academics and gate preparation. Teaching in college is not enough to get a grip on concepts. Textbook reading and revision is required and given the college records and labs and college in outskirts it will be a tough job to prepare, if you want to be an avg software employee, and can study round the clock and fill up sheets of paper, you can consider here.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't avail of any scholarship as such, the fee norm during then was 1 lakh plus for students joining on merit. As far as I know, there are no special scholarships for students with poor financial backgrounds. As far as placements, the placement hub is doing a good job, the onus is on the student to utilise and skill up and get ready for the interview. Support is given to a student in making him ready for placements.
Campus Life
The college library is well funded. you can find a plethora of textbooks(respective technical field) and you have option to get to choose the different authors for the same subject if you find a particular book hard to understand. Sports facilities like table tennis, badminton court, cricket field are present and they are maintained very well. but there is a catch, which is they are only accessible during sports fest. classrooms are equipped with a projector and a green board. they are very well ventilated, but those sitting at the last of the classroom might have a problem hearing the lecturer. Social groups, fest events etc, all are organised by only a single group of students, who are selected based on their grades or if they are favourite to the lecturer, lot bias is there, not the equal opportunity is given as such.
