Remarks
The eligibility for the course is bpharm/biotech graduate with 50% marks. The application form and dates are available on the official website of NMIMS.The application fees is 2500. I did not avail any reservation benefits.The admission process is streamlined and easy to understand. There are helpline numbers in case of any queries.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because the pharma industry is extremely dynamic in whole. The faculty-student ratio is 1:20. The qualification of teachers is Ph.D or MBA from top colleges. Visiting faculty also come in for guest lectures on various pharma topics. The teaching is based around case studies generally. There are 6 semesters across 2 years and the exams are moderately difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Top pharmaceutical companies like novartis, sun pharma, infosys, gsk, alkem visit the campus. The projects are about marketing, sales, operations and product management. The average package for final placements is 2lakhs per annum
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for summer internships from the second semester. Companies visit the campus and group discussions, personal interviews are conducted for the selection process. The stipend provided is Rs 10,000-50,000/- Companies like sun pharma, GSK, Zeus, Alkem visit the campus and provide PPO's too. Final placements begin from 4th semester. The average package is 2lakhs. Roles are provided in marketing, sales, operations,product management and market research.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the course is 650000 per year. The fees generally increase every year but the ROI is great. Financial assistance is available to students whose family annual income is less than 8 Lakhs. Students opt for a bank loan. The college provides scholarship to government employees.
Campus Life
Due to covid, our classes are online. The MBA Pharma batch has three committees: Tejomaya- the cultural committee which conducts various cultural events. The Placement committee is responsible for carrying out placements and summer internships process. The alumni committee organizes guest lectures. The sports committee has various competitions.
Interview Experience
After clearing the NMAT exam, the shortlisted students go for a written ability test and PI. The WAT test is about a case study where in we have to provide a solution and PI is based on the CV and general hygiene questions. There are online youtube videos available for PI and one should know the basics of pharmaceutical industry
