The application process was comparable to that of other top IIMs and was completed entirely online due to covid-19. The CAT score was the first selection criteria, after which candidates were shortlisted based on their CAT score and general profile, which includes marks in 10th, 12th, and job experience. Following that, a PI was conducted, and a final admission list based on the aforesaid scores was created.

I am a part of the MBA programme at IIM-C. The programme places a strong emphasis on the training of future managers and leaders. Finance, marketing and sales, product management, and consulting are all good learning opportunities at IIM-C. The professors are outstanding and really helpful. The student-to-faculty ratio is about 8:1 on average. Regular assignments are completed to help us stay on track with our education. If you pay attention in class, passing exams is not difficult.

The placement record of IIM Calcutta is excellent. This year, it received 100% placement as well. There are positions available in marketing, finance, consulting, operations, product management, and general management, and world-renowned companies are participating. A total of 170 organisations came to campus, offering 520 job opportunities. IIM offers a 100% placement rate, with the majority of employers hailing from the consulting, financial services, marketing, and information technology fields. With an average package of around 28.5 lakhs, the highest domestic CTC was 60 lakhs.

The current institute fee is Rs. 23 lakh for a two-year period. Scholarships are available to students who need financial assistance. In addition, because the college has a relationship with a number of banks, it is able to provide excellent loan services to students. The placement rates at IIMC are among the best in the business.

The IIM-C campus is stunning, and the lake view only adds to its allure. Despite the fact that we were not able to spend much time on campus due to covid. Our clubs included the Choreography Club, Consulting Club, Dramatics Cell, E-Cell, etc and there was never a quiet moment throughout my year here till now. Throughout the year, the committees host a range of activities and festivals, ensuring that everyone has a good time and that there are plenty of opportunities for students to interact. Even though my year was quite hectic and I had to pull all-nighters on occasion, it has been incredibly exciting for me to be able to follow my interests here, despite the fact that my year was quite stressful and I had to do all-nighters on occasion.

There was no group discussion this year once the shortlist was announced. A personal interview was used as an evaluation element for admission to IIM Calcutta. Teachers from IIM Calcutta conducted the interview, and the questions ranged from broad themes to where you fit in. Candidates with job experience were also quizzed on their work experience in depth. Because of covid, the entire process was done online.
