Remarks

Admission can be taken from two modes jee mains and lateral entry. For better branches like CSE and IT, better ranks are required less than 34000 for general category students for reserved candidates, it is according to category.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is mind blowing but some subjects are not useful like workshops practices Indian Constitution for computer science and it students, boy to girl ratio is 4:1. The faculty is well qualified. Semester exams take place, it is very difficult to pass exams.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are average and it depends mostly on students. But Airtel is giving the best Internship opportunities to students. The stipend is less by airtel around 50000 for 3 months but Microsoft has also been into this.

Placement Experience

Placement is mind blowing Various companies like Paytm, Samsung, Oyo, TCS visit campus and give a pot of opportunities to students. The placement percentage is above 75 and the highest placement is 29.75 LPA given by Flipkart. Paytm is a major recruiter this year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is moderate, 135000 per year is curriculum fee in which tuition fee is 75000 and the miscellaneous fee is 60000, hostel fee is 25000 per year and mess fee is 36000 per year, general students can apply to up scholarships and ews candidates has also some scholarship opportunities provided by the college. There is some scholarship that is given to meritorious students by alumni.

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome. There are various groups like kalakajsh sports robotics poetry dramatics etc which are helpful and interactive Library is full of books of all categories. Adhyay is the fest of hbtu generally occurs in nov but due to covid it is shifted to Feb.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good but it has no wifi connections. The meal is very good and run by hostellers only There are two campuses east and west, in the east campus all girls hostels and first year boys hostels are built and in the west campus gymnasium and all other boys hostels are built

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
