My Experience of SGSITS.

The admission process, I would say was not that long for me. To be eligible for the course, first, i had to clear JEE Main Exam and then a state-level counselling was conducted by DTE Madhya Pradesh. I had to apply for counselling and then had to submit a list of my choices of college priority wise. Then after every round of counselling, the college would provide certain cutoffs for different courses, if you cleared the cutoff, you can take admission in the respective course. Then the college will give you a certain date for document verification, the list of documents is available on college website. You have to visit the college on the respective date for further procedure

To be honest, I choose this curriculum because i could not get into CSE or IT, so the best course in this college after these two is Electronics and Telecommunication engieering. The course curriculum is quiet nice, constantly updated according to today's fast developing world. There are very good and qualified faculties. We have Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors who have done masters and doctorate in their respective fields. Each year approx, 120 students take admission in this course. Term exams are semester wise and quiet honestly were really good even in this online era.

Companies also visit college for internships and certain companies offer 75000 pm for the different roles like SDE Intern , businness analyst intern etc. Companies like Groww, Goldmann Sachs , Codenation are some of the companies

Campus Placements are really good and by each passing year the number of company visiting the campus are also increasing. Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. Some of the big companies visiting the campus are Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, startups like Groww etc. Full placement details are available on the college website. Highest package in 2021 session was CTC 44 LPA and the average package is around 4-4.5 LPA. The number of placements are also good. I really want to land a good placement.

I would say, fees is quite affordable when you compare them with other colleges. College though does not provide scholarships, there are many scholarship schemes started by Madhya Pradesh Government. The most common is the MMVY Scheme, I am also a beneficiary of this scheme. Along with it, there are many other scholarship schemes for reserved category students.

Campus life is quite good when compared to other colleges but the campus is not much large. There hasn't been an annual fest since 2018 in college but, we had many tech fest organized by different clubs in collaboration with different organizations. The central library is quite big and is home to quite a large number of books and journals related to different fields. Classes are well equipped with whiteboards, projectors, and proper seating facilities, especially the ATC building and the LT building. There is a cricket and football ground on the campus along with basketball and tennis courts. We also have a sports complex for indoor games. There are many clubs, official and unofficial run by groups of students like Pratibimb, GS Production House, etc. Many technical clubs like Codefoster, Sgsits Robotics Club. We also have an Entrepreneurship Cell. Also, national schemes like NCC and NSS are also functioning in the college.

The hostel is better than other government hostels. In boys hostel there are separate hostels for different years and in each room two students are allowed. Different lockers, beds, chairs are provided to each student. Sanitation is also good. There is a common mess for a hostel and the food is also of good quality. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are served from Monday to Saturday and the menu for these days is fixed although students can request a different menu. On Sunday there was a feast. You can register for a hostel during your admission visit to the college by filling a form along with an application to the hostel warden stating the reason you want hostel accommodation.
