Remarks
I had given JEE mains exams and JEE advanced too. The admission process was through a portal REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) and I found about this on the internet while searching for Government Colleges in my home state. Merit list (as told) was based on 12th marks and JEE mains rank. For being eligible for the course you just need to Science and Maths stream in 12th grade, however, the chances are slim and it increases when JEE mains rank is better. It's a simple straightforward process - You give your details and you fill your choices for colleges you want and the stream you want in those colleges and put them in an ascending to descending order of priority.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course just because my father wanted me to choose this otherwise I'd have chosen CSE. Although the time we got admission in the college there was this wide program going on called "TEQUIP-III", due to this our branch had almost 10-12 faculty members but now last I heard that changed last year and only 3 permanent faculty left and a couple of lab assistants maybe and in first-year students strength in our branch was 60 and later in the second year it increased to 80 (due to diploma students admissions). Faculty during the TEQIP program were highly qualified from different IITs and NITs, although there were a couple of bad teachers there were also some good teachers as you'd find in every college. The permanent faculty was quite good and helpful, especially Dr. Ganpat Sir (HOD of Civil Eng.). Term exams were conducted in a timely manner until corona happened. Although the university's (RTU which applied on us and in the next year it changed to BTU).
Placement Experience
Students become eligible to appear in their final year. I have no idea which companies came but pretty sure they were mediocre. The average package would be about 4-5 LPA. The highest that I heard was around 20 LPA but I am not sure if it was off-campus or on-campus. Around 7-8% of people get placed but it also depends on the branch. CSE gets placed like crazy but does not happen the same with Civil Eng. I am planning to do M.A. in English Literature and that's the reason I was on your website.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike never occurred during our course duration. The cost to study comes about 30000 per semester and it could change if standard books are bought since they are expensive although I'd advise getting them from the library. Many scholarships opportunities are out there and can easily be discovered while being in the college and a simple google search ranging from 30k to 50k.
Campus Life
First, we get a freshers party when the first years are admitted. Then there's a tech-fest which is held in January and an annual fest called Tarangini which is held in March. Many books are available in the Library and plenty of resources but unfortunately no digital library (might be in making). Classrooms are basic. Some classrooms do have projectors but nothing fancy. College doesn't have anything besides a volleyball court (which is also Kho-Kho and Kabaddi ground during sports co mbat) and it is still to invest more in sports. All other matches held are in different stadiums in the city. There are many clubs like - Creative Arts Society, Coding Club, etc but they were not so real while the time I was there so it has no significance to me.
