Students need to appear for JEE main exam conducted by NTA and then they have to undergo the counseling process to become eligible for admission to this college. JEE mains is conducted four times a year so students can sign up on the NTA website and register for JEE mains examination. Admission Process: As soon as the counseling starts student needs to register himself or herself to the counseling portal of AKTU and fill in all the details that are required. For admission into IERT civil engineering student has to allot that college in his list of colleges during counseling. If the cutoff rank is crossed the required college will be allowed. Then physical; reporting with all original document is to be done in the college and fees has to be paid to complete the admission process. reservations are only provided at the time of counseling. The original documents are submitted to the college for about one year which has to be improved and they should immediately return the documents.

The Civil Engineering branch provides a variety of options for private as well as government jobs. most of the vacancies in govt, jobs are for civil engineers. There are many business opportunities in this field. each branch consists of 70 students of a single year with 6 faculties for all. This college provides many opportunities to do innovative things and good quality faculty helps in that. The faculty consist of all Mtech qualified and experienced teachers in their specific courses. The teaching method of the faculties is student-friendly with a focus on more question solving of the competitive exams. The faculty teachers are completely focused on the semester exam and complete their syllabus timely with extra questions for competitive govt. An exam that helps in building more concepts.

AKTU provides summer and winter internships offers paid and free internships. Students are required to fill in the details in their AKTU ERP portal and apply for internships. Freshers mostly get their free internship and experienced may get some stipend for their internship. The student becomes eligible in the first year itself to apply for an internship. Different companies offer different courses for internships. There is no fixed company for internship and college do not provide any internship instead student has to apply by themselves for internships. from second-year projects starts and teachers start guiding students for projects and presentation and communication during the presentation.

Students become eligible in the 7th semester for placements. IERT has placement cell and recruiting staff that helps in the hiring process. IERT placement cell makes proposals to the companies and the companies accept invitations and come for the hiring process. The PI and HR round is conducted with the required tests. Companies like L&T, L&T infotech, magic brick, Accenture, TCS, HCL, Wipro, Mahindra, Syntel, etc, and many companies visit. The average package revolves around 5lakh per annum. the placement is maximum for the CSE branch. Since the placement are not so good in this college so students start preparing for GATE and IES from 1st year itself and many students qualify with top 100 ranks in these exams. The college also allows to focus on these exams and do not pressurize for attendance.

The tuition fee of the college for all students is 55000INR, caution money is 5000INR, extra fee is 3000INR. there are two types of seats available in a class. Normal seat and tuition fee-wavier seat in which tuition fees are neglected for the student. For first-year students, the total fee is 55000+3000+5000 INR. For the other three years, it is 55000+3000 INR. All the students whose family income is under 2 lakhs per annum are eligible for the UP scholarship scheme. Around 55000 INR scholarship is received by the student if he or she fill the form correctly. So if the family income is less than 2 lakhs per annum then a student can affordably study in this college with good guidance and faculty.

There are many kinds of the fest that are organized by the seniors. Technovation, Udbhav, Freshers, and many other fests are organized in the college. Most of the events are organized in a period of time when there is not the pressure of exams and unit tests. Life at the campus is not full of enjoyment as the main focus of the college on the students is to focus on his study rather than any other thing. There is a big library in which students can issue their books for 6 months. Classes are conducted through green boards with old infrastructure and no renovation. Sports events such as Zonal levels, kreeda kumbh, hostel premier league are organized with all kinds of sports played from all years students branch wise and year wise. Position of responsibility is also provided to students who are very good at academics and other activities. Till now there are no social groups created by the students.

There are different hostels for 1st, 2nd, 3rd-year students. Infrastructure is old with 2-7 person rooms available. 1st and the 3rd-year hostel are a little far from the college but the 2nd-year hostel is inside the college campus. The menu of the mess is good with four meals a day and unlimited food at an affordable cost. Hostel facility is good to go in this college but internet connectivity is poor in all the three hostels and no wifi is provided. registration for a hostel is open for all but only allotted as per the merit. around 60 to 90 students are seats are available for each year. Many students live in rooms outside the college i.e., Salori, Chhota bagada, and many girls hostel are available near Prayag station near the college. Tiffin food is not so good to eat but private mess provides better food.
