Umesh Chandra College of Commerce

Formed with the primary vision of promoting education and knowledge our college came out with providing best jobs in the locality. One can take up admission in the hons stream if he has took maths in class 12 and secured more than 70% marks in commerce stream. Application form is to be downloaded through the college website and then hard copy along with fees shall be submitted in the office. There is no seats reserved for scheduled quota.

I want to be a commerce graduate so I took up Bcom Hons as it is more renowned than the general one for good jobs. The faculty of the college is top notch who make us understand the topic through practical examples. The teaching staff is highly qualified. Term exams are held every 6 months. Firstly an internal exam of 20 marks is held in the college and then an external exam of 80 marks take place where seats fall in different colleges as per Cu guidelines.

Students after passing out their final year are eligible for the campus which is held one year after their pass out. For our session, HDFC Bank and TCS recently visited the college to hire interns where the average package was around 80000 per month with 1.5 lacs per month. I want to become a Chartered Accountant in future.

Fees charged is very much moderate as compared to other top most college in Kolkata. Scholarship schemes and concessional loan schemes are also being introduced by the college every year so that even the poor students can afford to study here.

An annual fest named Umang Utsav is being held in the college ground where many cultural activities like dancing and singing take place. The college library is large with a wide no of books on different topics. The classroom is equipped with a smart class and speaker. Sports and extracurricular activities like cricket and football are held in the college.
