Remarks

The course is very much theoretical with little practical knowledge so admission is given to students of commerce and science stream with above 60% marks in their Hs examination and maths as a compulsory subject. Application form fees, as well as dates, can be known through the official college website and filling up these forms and submitting them online. There are no seats reserved for the scheduled quota.

I want to be an Accountant and Tax graduate so I chose up this course from the college because the faculty of the college is top notch with high teaching knowledge experience and well qualified teachers. The term exams are held every 6 months which is easy to pass.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Placement Experience

The campus is being held in the 2nd year and 3 Rd year where mnc and corporate visit the college to hire students like Tcs PNB etc. The average package is around 6 lacs with the highest of 11 lacs per annum. Around 70% of students get placement. I want to become a Chartered Accountant in future.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan scholarship schemes are being introduced by the college where the loan is provided to students for educational purposes at interest free rates or less than markets rates on submission of income certificate of parents. Also, scholarship is provided to the students every year who are highly meritious.

Campus Life

The annual fest is held in the college ground named Umang. The college has a large and modernised library with also library facilities. The classroom is equipped with ac and smart classes. Sports and extracurricular activities take place throughout the year like cricket tennis badminton etc. The college has its own website.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
