Admission in UIET Chandigarh is on the basis of JEE mains rank you have to fill councelling of JAC chandigarh there are 4 college apart from UIET chandicarh ( UIET chandigarh ,UIET hoshiarpur,Dr ss bhatnagar, and CCET ) UIET hoshiarpur is regional campus in hoshiarpur, while UIET chandigarh ,and dr ss bhatnagar in on campus college of panjab university ,CCET is in chandigarh but it is outside the campus of panjab university and you can see the cutoff of last year on JAC chandigarh website. There are reservation for seats like border ares students, PWD students, jammu kashmir migrants, freedom fighters grandparents quota, defence quota , OBC/SC/ST quota. Further when you go for counseling you will be called for documentation verification according to your rank. Please keep all related documents prior with yourself: jee main marksheet, 12 board marksheet , character certificate, migration certificate, adhar card, address proof, 4 passport size photograph, 1500 rupees in cash etc.

UIET comes under Panjab University therefore exam dates are same as for whole University. But there is a catch UIET conducts theory exams in two parts - minors & majors. UIET conducts minors two times in a particular semester and major only once. Minor are of 30 marks each and best out of two will be considered for your final evaluation. Majors are of 50 marks and 10 marks are compulsory to grab to get passed in majors. Total passing marks are 40/100 in each paper. Now comes practical exams these are of 50 marks each. You will sail through it easily as this is the time where you actually learn something related to your field. One more thing it doesn't matter if you get a supply in any exam you just need to maintain your credit points in total so that you won't get a back for whole year.

I think DIC( design and innovation centre) provides you the best internship opportunity in UIET which is actually funded by the government. So, DIC offered internship in projects like traffic light and sensors , bitforce measurements, app development , web development, AI related projects etc. You actually learn a lot from your peers there and actually get a proper knowledge of industry level projects. Besides DIC lab there are other projects which are governed by University and some professors are incharge of those research projects so you can directly contact them if you have any interest in them

If you have potential you will definitely grab a decent package of 6-8 LPA which is actually possible in UIET. Most of the companies allow you for tech placements if you have more than 7.5 CG or even 7 CG. The fees structure has been changed now ther is a hike in fees now. Right now you have to pay around 95k per year . Scholarship are given for EWS Students for example : 1.Award of stipends to poor and deserving students of University Teaching Departments for the session 2021-22. 2.VKG (Vimal And Krishan Goyle) Scholarship for the following candidates:1. EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category candidate should be selected2. Should be a topper in academics/ a meritorious student3. Preference of a candidate, who shouldn’t have got any backlogs in any of the exams till date. Now comes the part of campus job , I think this is best about UIET recently 12 students of UIET has grabed the Amazon 32 lpa offer and average of UIET is over 6.5 lpa. Not all Fang companies visits UIET but delliotte, samsung, American express etc visits UIET

Since UIET is part of PANJAB UNIVERSITY you will have a great campus life here. It's a massive campus of 600 acres comprising of two main campuses north and South. Uiet lies on the South campus of Panjab University. Hostels are not easy to get. So, stay prepared for PGs or flats nearby. But keep trying for hostels as these are not the best but hostel Life is amazing at Panjab University. Canteens are the good best place to eat is STU-C which is on the main campus of PU near AC JOSHI LIBRARY. There are gyms, ground, swimming pool, shooting range basketball courts, NCC, NSS in PU. UIET have clubs like - Robotics club for electronics enthusiasts, Euphoria for singing, Debsoc for debating enthusiasts, SBE, PSYCH, DCU dance committee, EDC, Training & placement cell, STAR, NSS UIET, etc, we have DIC which is best about UIET many students of UIET have grabbed government funding through DIC as their projects are being recognized and appreciated by the government.
