Remarks
Eligibility of the course is a graduation necessity. The exam score accepted is the CAT score. Application form, fees, and dates are available on the CAT website. Reservation benefits are available. Cut-offs for SC, ST, OBC caste is varied to clear CAT.
Course Curriculum Overview
Wanted to go for MBA(business side) so no better option rather than IIM. Faculty to student ratio is 1:20. Qualification of the faculty is mostly PhD. The teaching method is online due to COVID. Exams were moderate to difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
A company like ICICI, Consulting companies, do visit the campus with a stipend range of 40000 been provided. If any work ex present, internship opportunities are good. The internship period is for 2 months.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is 100% with a maximum of the 2nd year batch placed with good job roles. Many brands visit the campus for summer internships as well as final placements. Majorly startups visit for internship opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of IIM Jammu is a little costly. The opportunities are for EWC, SC, ST students. There are few on a merit basis. Jammu has a good ROI. Many brands do visit IIM Jammu for internships as well as for the final placement season.
Campus Life
Availability of books and journals are available in the library. Amenities in the classroom while offline were a bench and LED screening. Extracurricular activities and sports also happen on campus, There are many clubs, committees are run by the student body itself.
Hostel Facilities
Meal quality and the menu are moderate. The hostel isn't good at the Jallochak campus but the canal road campus is best. The registration process for the hostel can be done online. The menu and quality of food are moderate. But we enjoy the company of ourselves.
Interview Experience
The topic for gd was based on COVID since I was from Pharma Background, more from a Pharma perspective. Current News, Interview was normal and self-driven. For preparation, I daily read newspapers and current ongoing news.
