IIIT Manipur Review

IIIT Manipur is the new member of the IIIT family. The candidate must clear JEE exam and then have to participate in JOSAA counseling and must have secure 75% of marks in 10+2. I was allotted IIIT Manipur after my counselling. At first, I was quite sceptical about the college as it is a new IIIT but after my research, I found that the college is up to the standard. the curriculum of the college is the latest and according to industrial norms. The faculty of the college are also amazing.

The curriculum of the college is according to the latest industrial norms and in terms o education the college is up to the marks and matches the IIITs standards. I choose CSE over ECE because t not only has scope for the future but you also receive good placement offers as computer science is a very vast subject and it really fascinates me. We can learn lots of things from it.

The internship is part of the curriculum of the college. Around 25+ companies visit the campus for internships and the stipend ranges from Rs 8000/- to Rs 35000/-. You can also opt for an off-campus internship. The college committee helps you and guides you during the internship process. And if you are involved in any kind of research you can skip internship after providing you research status to the concerned faculty and placement committee.

The placement of the college is good at the moment college is new so the package is not like other IIIT but it is good enough. during our batch around 25+ companies visited our campus. Companies like TCS, Jio, LTI, Hexaview, Nykaa, BYJU’s, Publicis Sapient, Virtusa, etc visited our campus. The highest package for our batch was around 10 LPA and the total average package was around 6 LPA. The college placement cell is cooperative and friendly.

The college also provides scholarships to merit students. And government sponsorship scholarship programs are also available for Sc/St students. The entire campus is equipped with high-speed WiFi connectivity. The labs of the college are equipped with all the modern equipment and the teacher guide the student in their research work in a very friendly way. The library is equipped with lots of books and international journals are also available and if the book of your request is not available you can raise the request and it will be made available to you within a few days. The administrative staff is very cooperative and helpful. Overall the college environment is quite friendly.

The rooms are good and rooms are on sharing basis at the moment. The hostel also has high-speed WiFi connectivity. The rooms are equipped with beds, almirahs, and study tables for every student available in the rooms. The food of the mess is tasty and healthy but the problem is at the moment the menu is limited to some dishes only. The hostel is equipped with all the basic facilities for students.

The faculty members of all departments are extremely talented and carry good experience. Some of the faculty members have industrial exposure which very helps full to the students. The faculty of the college really motivate student during their research work and guide them as a mentor. I am really thankful to the faculty members of the institution as I have learned some valuable lessons from them.
