Remarks
Filling out a long application form in which the candidate submitted information about their educational history and professional experience was the first stage in the admissions process. It was also necessary to write a standard operating procedure (SOP). I didn't use any quotas, and I don't believe any were available at the time of my entrance. A minimum of 60% in 10th, 12th, and undergrad, a minimum of 85% in CAT or XAT, and a minimum GMAT score of 630 were used to select candidates. There was a GD/PI round after the first shortlisting, followed by a listening assessment.
Course Curriculum Overview
I picked the PGDM-Core curriculum because I wanted to have a broad understanding of management. The faculty-to-student ratio in a 500-student class is 17:1. Students are given several quizzes and tasks on a regular basis for continual evaluation. At the end of each semester, term examinations are also given. The examinations are moderately demanding and will require some effort to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are available at Deloitte, HP, Dell, Infosys, and other large organisations. In marketing, finance, human resources, and information technology, there are several internship possibilities. Internships are a two-month credit course that must be completed.
Placement Experience
In the first trimester, qualified students begin applying for appropriate positions, and SIP processes begin. Infosys, HDFC, Wipro, Mahindra, and others are among the top corporations that visit and make various offers on a daily basis. The average package weighs around 11.2 LPA. There are several sales marketing, BFSI, operations, HR, IT, and analytics profiles accessible. Every year, all of the students are successfully placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The majority of the expenses are made up of tuition and accommodation fees. On the basis of merit and need, 50 worthy students will receive scholarships. The entire sum of the scholarship is Rs 2.9 crores. The fees are beyond of reach for a student from a middle-class family.
Campus Life
The campus is a beautiful and tranquil place. Extracurricular activities are actively encouraged, and there are a variety of organisations and committees to choose from. A few examples are sports committees, literary and media committees, marketing forums, financial forums, and so on. Atharva is the college's annual festival, which incorporates both cultural and economic events.
Interview Experience
The GD subjects were broad and applicable to daily living. They didn't require a lot of general knowledge. The listening and reading exams were meant to determine comfort in understanding English, which was impacted by local accents, and the interview questions were behavioural in character. Reading comprehension tasks necessitated deductive thinking and analysis. I kept myself updated by reading newspapers and watching news and being up to date with the current affairs. I also used to learn 5 new words everyday from the dictionary to improve my vocabulary.
