Remarks
IIIT Bhopal is totally a new entrance in the IIIT family. The college currently operates from the temporary campus of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology. The candidate must pass JEE exam and then participate in JOSAA counselling and must secure 50% in 10+2. I was allotted IIIT Bhopal after my JOSAA counselling. The college is good and the curriculum of the college is also good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum meets all the latest industrial norms. The curriculum of the college is designed in a way that students can explore a variety of career paths by learning their interest skills, strengths, and values. The curriculum helps to develop leadership skills in students so that they can become a part of the corporate world and can lead from the front.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities and students are free to opt for off-campus internships also. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS visit the campus during the internship program. The stipends range from Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- according to the tenure of your stipend. Usually, the internship is of 7-8 weeks. Our batch students got an opportunity to work as interns in companies like DRDO, MANIT Bhopal, IIM Lucknow, IIIT Allahabad, HexNBit, Tevatron Technologies Pvt Ltd etc.
Placement Experience
The company placement is good we were part of the first-ever placement process of the college. The placement committee has worked very hard to invite market leaders for their placement process. The committee has also helped students during the placement process. As it was the most important event for the college as it was the first-ever placement drive for the college. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, MAQ Software, GEP WorldWide, Sagezza etc visited our campus during the placement drive. The highest package was around 15 LPA and the average package was 10 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college directly does not provide scholarships. Scholarship for female students is also available. Campus Life
There is not much to say about the campus life of the college at the moment the college is operating from its temporary campus fromMaulana Azad National Institute of Technology. The seniors of the college are quite helpful and very friendly. There are few students club that you can join and can take part in various college activities. The classrooms of the college are spacious and properly ventilated. The administrative staff of the college is very helpful and supportive.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is only available for 1 st year students at the moment. No hostel facility for 2nd,3rd, and 4th-year students. The hostel is operated from the RGPV campus which is 18 KMs away from the IIIT Bhopal campus. The food of the mess is okay and the management needs to focus on it. The hostel is well maintained and properly cleaned. The rooms are equipped with beds, almirah and study tables for students.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are of PhD level and are master of their subject. Most of the faculty of IIIT Bhopal have graduated from the topmost universities of India. The faculty is helpful and students can approach the teacher to clear their doubts without any hesitance.
