Remarks
One has to score at least 45 percentage in 12th boards and 40 percent for the reserved category. Then apply online for the GUJCET exam conducted in April- may by paying a fee of 300 INR. One has to take PCM paper for Engineering and PCB paper for medical/pharmacy courses(not applicable for MBBS). Then apply for ACPC Counseling for engineering. The exam only asks class 12 questions which is not good since at the college level both class 11 and 12 knowledge comes into play.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is one of the cheapest colleges of the entire country providing b tech in just 12000 which is quite less and hence become highly affordable. Also, the faculties are good since it's a government aided college especially professor, HM Patel. Exams are above average and one need to study properly if he/she wants to score well. College is not affiliated with GTU hence has its own separate paper.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided by local companies and some big names like LnT, Indian oil, ongc etc. Many of these internships remain unpaid and those which are paid are quite less paid (under 15k). The placement and internship cell is a little bit lazy.
Placement Experience
The placement has two aspects one related to engineering students and the other rest of the University. Generally for engineering students offers to lie between 3.5 to 4 LPA which is not bad at all since the fees are also very less. Google is the centre of attraction since it gives a few offers but the rest is very average.
Fees and Financial Aid
The faculty of engineering, at MSU Baroda is very easy to afford hence hardly any scholarships are required. But hostels have very limited seats and hence one need a good amount to afford that.
Campus Life
The engineering campus is separate from the main campus hence a little difficult to attend programs. But the main fest here is maker fest Vadodara. The library is awesome with all types of books and amenities. Top clubs include VVS Vidyarthi Vikas Sangh is affiliated with ABVP (now ABVP), NSUI ( National Students Union of India).
