My experience in APC college

Course eligibility is that you have to pass your higher secondary exam with any registered board. And you must have Bengali in class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks. As the college admission process is completely merit-based, the higher marks you could get in the HS the higher chance of getting a seat here. On the subject you are taking as honors you must have above 80% marks in HS. And your best of 4 subject marks should be above 75%. You can find the application form on the college website. The admission generally starts after the first week of HS result published. The application fee was Rs 500 and the admission fee was around Rs4000.

Being an art student I like our mother language subject the most. I want to research Bengali Novel & I want to study for a long. So I have chosen this course. We have a total of 8 professors and around 70 students in our department. So our student-faculty ratio is almost 9 students per one faculty. Our professors are really good. Their teaching method is a career-based learning process. Our professors encourage us to self-learning. They also organize excursions and many more. Most of our professors have done P.hD. We have an exam every 5-6 months and we have a total of 6 semesters to pass.

The college fee is reasonable. The admission fee was around Rs 4000. And the total cost of studying in 3 years is under 15,000. College does not need to help financially. As we have good scholarships options like SVMCM. All the students both boys & girls can apply for this scholarship. We got Rs 15000 per year and girls also can apply for Kanyashree scholarships. We did not have any job placement for our subject as it should not be. But for some other courses job campusing happens here.

Our college campus is very good and well organized. We have wifi facility on the whole campus. We have a greener campus and beautiful gardens in our college. Our college organizes many cultural programs the whole year. Cultural programs like Saraswati puja, holy, teacher's day, Rabindra Jayanti, and many more happen here. Our library room is air condition and peaceful. You will find a wide range of books there. Our classrooms are large and very cleaned. We have various sports activities in our college. We have a volleyball court within the campus and other sports activities like football, cricket happens here. We have annual sports program every year.
