IIT Mandi Review

IIT Mandi is a new member of the IIT family. As I am from Himachal and I know that IIT Mandi is quite popular among the youth not because it is from the IIT family but because of its CSE program and most of the youngsters want to complete their CSE program from IIT Mandi and I was also one of them. The candidate must clear its GATE exam and must secure 60% in a degree program from any recognized institute. After clearing the GATE exam one must register for COAP counseling if the seats are vacant then you are provided with the college seat and I was lucky enough that I was allotted the college according to my preference.

Without any doubt, I can say that curriculum of the college is of international standards because at the moment I am working in the USA and it is only possible because of the time that I have spent in IIT Mandi. The curriculum is flexible and is regularly updated according to industrial changes. In simple words, the curriculum is properly in sync with the real-world scenario. the curriculum is the blend of theoretical and practical knowledge.

The candidate is eligible for an internship program after completing the first year of its program. The college placement committee provides us with the list of the companies that are participating in the summer internship program so that we can make our choices according to our interests and subject. The stipend of the candidate depends according to the tenure of the internship usually ranges from Rs. 25000/- to Rs. 1,25,000/-.

The college has a 100% placement record. The college placement committee is successful to invite the market leaders for the recruitment process in the college. The college placement committee is hardworking and professional and guides us during the placement process in the college. The highest placement package during our batch went up to 25 LPA and the average package is around s 12 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Samsung Bangalore, Adobe, Walmart, Paytm, Amazon, Samsung Bangalore, etc participated in the college placement drive. Around 75+ companies visited our campus during the college placement drive.

The college offer scholarship for merit students. The college also offers a scholarship for SC/ST/PWD students. The campus life of the college is good. The college campus is spread over 275 acres of land. The campus is located in the middle of the beautiful mountains and the view around the campus is mesmerizing. The college organizes sports competitions between the different departments of the college. Activities like quiz competitions, debates, and cultural programs are organized by the college. The college administrative staff and seniors are very friendly and supportive.

The hostel facility is very good. The hostel rooms are available in triple, double, and single sharing. The rooms are spacious and properly ventilated. The rooms are cleaned 4 times a week. The view outside the hostel window totally freshens up the mood. Every hostel has a separate study room, laundry facility, and common room equipped with table tennis and LCD TV. The warden of the hostel is very cooperative and professional. The hostel is equipped with all kinds of facilities according to the students. The hostel is like the second home for us.

The faculty of the college are of Ph.D. level with industrial exposure which s very beneficial for us. The faculty are extremely knowledgeable in their subjects and research work. The faculty motivates us to take part in extracurricular activities so that we can develop our overall personality.
