Course Curriculum Overview

We studied various networking and operating system stuff. Also we learned numerous programming languages.C, C ++, Unix, java, network management etc.

Internships Opportunities

I did 2 interships. I was not given any stipend. First was at NTPC and the other was with EFY electronics. I learned C and PHP respectively in the organisations.

Placement Experience

Placements were quite good. We had seen numerous companies coming in our college for campus selections. We were taken to not her college too for joint campus selections.

College Events

Every year we had one technical and one cultural fest. Technical fest witnessed students from various other universities participating enthusiastically and then in wining the awards. Cultural fest had all the music, bands and the glamour.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Per semester the fees was approx 25k only. This was the tuition fees. Apart from hat I paid bus fees which was around 12k monthly. So in total it was feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about it. But yes the college provides the loan/ scholarship to the students. Although I was amongst the top tankers I dint enquire about the scholarship program as the fees was quite nominal.

Exam Structure

We had semester system. In between the semesters we had two internal exams apart from the regular class tests. More like schools stuff. The marks of these tests/ assignments were added in the internal marks.

Experience at IGU Rewari in MCA Course

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is designed to teach the basic and fundamental subjects of computer science to students. In each subject, the difficulty level is below moderate. There are some subjects which meet the industry standards and prepare students for jobs in market. But many subjects are out-dated and their syllabus is not upto standard mark of industry requirements. There is an urgent need to update the syllabus and make it more industry demands-oriented. The teaching methods used are good but some updates can make them more better. Less focus is given on practical knowledge and labs. In each semester, you will have sessional exams two times for all 5 subjects. In each year, there are two semesters and in each semester you will havee final exams in the month of December and May.

Names of the companies visited are Qikfox Inc, QSS Technosoft, Argusoft India Ltd, Decimal Technologies, CRTD technologies and no of offers made are around 10 - 20 the package lies is between 500000-1000000 Percentage of student geting placement are not true according to me by collage however it lies around 40 percent of students.
