Remarks

The eligibility of the courses is that you have to pass class 12th and cleared the Jee Mains exam after that you have to shortlist your college as per your choice in counseling. The application form and all updates will be available on nta website.Nta is the agency that conducts this exam. There is reservation also for the economically weaker students (EWS,OBC,SC,ST)at the time of counselling as well as for the home state students. Currently due to COVID the admission process is fully online,it may be offline if college will be opened

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The exam conducted by the NTA was on time and was very strict. As this is a national level exam and approx 10 lakhs students are appearing, out of this only 6-7% students got NIT seat. As I am very interested in coding skills unfortunately my rank was not up to the mark. So, the best branch I selected was ECE in NIT ARUNACHAL PRADESH as here I have the opportunity to learn coding, electronics, and communication part and placement is also good after CSE and IT. There is some good faculty. Currently the Teachers: Student ratio is 2:35 approx. There will be each semester of 5 months approx which consists of the quiz, assignment, mid sem exam as well as final semester exam or viva(depends on the teacher). You have to be sincere in the subject before the exam because the question level of the exam conducted is average and tricky.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

College also gives internships like Internshala in the year of the fourth year and steep and is also their company whatever assured to give you. If you want to give an internship for work on Indian startup programs in the third year so we have to do this one you may also have to pay to have to do this on your own. And there will be a project on your branch you are studying you have to submit up to date in the fourth year and there will be a committee also above you you have to submit your report and clear the task.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 7th semester companies are moving there like TCS, Wipro, Tata, power grid. Dont expect many big companies to come there. The highest package is 12lakh and the average is 6lakh there. In ECE, the students placed are most compared to other branches. Almost 85% of eligible candidates are placed. In 2021 16 out of 18 are placed. I am planning to place in a tech company rather than the core company and currently working on that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of the college may be hike 4-5 thousand every year. The fees you will see the similarities to those other NITs and the study will be not more difficult. There will be no tuition fees on study if your family income will be below 1lakh yearly. Besides this, there is a scholarship cell in the college also which inform you various private and govt. scholarship scheme like Siemens. I haven't availed any scheme.

Campus Life

3.5

There is an annual fest UDYAM which will be conducted in Feb approx. Library books are huge here. The classroom is up to mark not so high-tech not bad. As the campus has been shifted from yupia to Jote there is a lack of campus exposure now. However, the campus is of approx 150 huge acres and we all are playing and making the field here and there. This is upon you because the campus is new now. There is a social group and clubs like a coding club, dancing club, poetry club but now due to the lockdown these all are not working.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The room is new now. So, they give bed, table, chair, fan, and Almirah is making that's all. Dont expect more than this there. Meal quality is average, don't expect good as there is lack of vegetables there. All the foods thing are coming from Assam. Even meat meal is not like here in Northside, they are cooking sun fried meat before many months.

The course curriculum was good. But it should be better by including more practical and site visits for better learning. The exams were not that much difficult you can pass easily. Exam frequency was also good

The Electrical Engineering course curriculum is quite comprehensive, covering key areas like circuit analysis, electronics, and power systems, which has well-prepared me for real-world applications, although incorporating more hands-on projects and industry insights could further enhance its relevance.

Very few students get placement in my college. Students from 6 semester are eligible for campus placement. NEEPCO and OIL are the one who frequently visit NERIST with placement offers. A minimum of 7.5 CGPA is needed for placement offers.

The campus scenario is improving day by day but it is not still upto the mark. Many companies come for hiring but most of which offer only average package of 4LPA which is very less compared to other colleges. Highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA.

The students of mechanical engineering had a higher percentage of jobs as compared to other branches. I will do M.Tech after my B.Tech.
