There is no other college like this.

There is no entrance test for this. AP government has established this college in Nuzvid near vijayawada to empower the education in rural people. So they selected the rural students based on 10th standard marks from every government school. AP government will spend lots of money for these kids. Course consists of two year Pre-university course and four years BTech(in interested stream).

Course is completely designed from IIT content. There are Learning by doing approach. This would be in top university with in 10 years. There are 6 Btech courses such as ECE, CSE, Mech, Material, Chem, Civil. There are so many elective courses were offered by university. Students can do minor degreen in any of their choice (maths,physics,management etc).

There is not providing any internship for students. Students has to find internship on their own. Student has to complete one semester internship during third year Btech.

Top multinational companies like Infosys, TCS, Tech mahindra, ITC, Opentext, HAUWAI, CTS etc. In 2008 batch, around 900 students placed among 2000. In 2009 batch, around 1000 students placed among 2000.

CYGNUS is techno + cultural fest held every year(january). But only for students of RGUKT. Technical fest happens frequently every year. They are very big events.

As a government sponsored university, the tuition fees at Rajiv Gandhi University are highly subsidized by the AP government. The annual fee (for AP students) for the first two years (Pre University program) is Rs.36,000/-.For four year Btech,40000 per year. This includes tuition, lodging and boarding.

80 % of marks are based on Objective questions., 20% subjective.At the end of every week, there will be WAT test. At the end of the every month, there will be CAT test. At the end of the semester, there will be one semester exam. WAT waitage is 10%,CAT waitage is 30%, SEM waitage is 60%.

Most of the faculty are Mtech from IITs. Mostly from IIT kharagpur. Since the course is learning by doing, Faculty will be less important. According to me, They dont have enough knowledge but they will give the way what to study. In our university, Faculty is not the matter.
