The admission process is very easy. Tezpur Medical College is an administration institute. It was set up in 2009. Students who need to take admission in this college need to show up for NEET-UG with the latest of 60% in 10+2 and their subjects must be PCB or PCMB. The application form is available on the official website of nta.

We have a smooth well-planned course curriculum. The course educational plan is extremely adjusted and organized. There are both practical as well as theory classes daily, also clinic postings from the 4th semester onward. Usually, the faculty of medical colleges are doctors. In this college also teachers cum doctors teach us in a very unique way, they Highly experienced doctors.

College provides an internship program for 1 year. Throughout the internship, we are posted in different departments. The internship is for around a year. Where you are allotted different departments for a particular period of time. Departments like Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Pediatric are compulsory where each department are allotted 2 months each, and rest of the months are rotated among another department. The patient exposure is really good in Gauhati Medical college, patients are referred to GMCH from across the Northeastern states. It has all the departments and has a separate facility for super specialty. Every type of patient is admitted to GMCH. The patient load is quite high. After an internship one-year rural service is compulsory.

The whole cost for total mbbs is around 2lakh. Fees for first-year admission are around 32k and on subsequent years admission, fee is around 15k. The fees for government medical College is affordable and it's very less as compared to private medical colleges. The total cost of the whole Mbbs course is around 1.5 lakh. Government scholarship is available from NSP with an amount of 30k yearly.

Our campus is very large in size and very beautiful and fascinating. Every year student union conducts College week. During this week they conduct various cultural and sports competitions and give prizes to winners on the final days. The college organizes extracurricular activities from time to time for the holistic development of the students. We student union and junior doctors union as well.

The total capacity of our hostel is around 200. In the hostel, we have both single and double rooms. Single rooms are very clean and comfortable. In the mess, they provide meals 3 times a day and evening snacks. They provide non-vegetarian food also. Every month we have to pay Rs 2000 for the mess. Nearby pg and rented rooms are not available easily. They are already booked. And the cost is also huge. The faculties provide us a quality teaching. Pg nearby us is of very high cost.
