You have to give jee main exam and if your rank is less than 160000 for the general category then you might get admission in jec. If you belong to any category like sc, st, obc, ews then obviously there will be an extra benefit for you in terms of admission and fees also.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen electrical engineering because it is a core branch and some companies like LNT recruit students especially from the electrical engineering branch and also offer higher packages. Most of the faculties are highly educated and are PhD holders. Exams are slightly difficult but if you prepare for them then you can easily achieve a good CGPA.
Internships Opportunities
College offers internship opportunities mostly in the 3rd, 4th,5th, and 6th semesters. Again HCL and TCS were the companies that give internships to the students. I am not aware of their roles because currently I am in the 2nd semester.
Placement Experience
Most of the students become eligible for campus placements in the 7th and 8th sem. College offers average placement. Almost 40 to 50 percent of students were placed in 2021 mostly from cs, it, ec, ee branch. TCS, Wipro, and HCL were the mass recruiters and most of the students were placed in these companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very less that is nearly 22000 per year and if you belong to sc, st, obc, then you can fill out a post metric scholarship form and you will get approximately 28000 per year. So you can complete your BTech by paying a very less amount.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the college is not that good but labs especially of the electrical department, industrial production department and mechanical and civil department, and computer science department are very good. Library of jec is outstanding. Almost every book is available in our library and the auditorium is also very good.
