An Honest Review

I got admitted to this college after clearing JEE Main exam. For the general category, the cutoff was upto AIR 47000, if you are availing of any reservations then you can get this college till AIR 1lakh or 1.2 lakh. JEE Main is conducted every year by NTA between January to May to get admission in various NITS, IIITs, and GFTIs across the country. I wanted either CSE or ECE and this college was providing it. The faculty:student ratio is very good here (1:7) as of the 2020 batch. But the seats are being increased in all 5 branches (CSE, ECE, EE, ME, CE) since 2021. Faculty members are well-qualified government employees. Getting the post after clearing respective exams. In every semester we have 2 exams, 2 quizzes, 2 assignments in every subject.

The T&P cell, your skills and your professors might help you to get a fellowship after 3rd year in IITs under the guidance of any professor. Other than that you can work on your projects to strengthen your resume.

The placements are good. Various MNCs like LTI, Deloitte, Capgemini, Alstom, etc visit the college along with few core PSU like PGCIL, BEL, OIL, etc. Generally, one needs to maintain a CGPA of 7 and above. Highest CTC offered in 2020 was 14 LPA by PGCIL, avg. CTC is around 7 LPA, while median CTC is between 5-6 LPA. Placement % lies between 60-70%, as many students opt for further studies or GATE exams. Maximum placements happen in CSE and ECE departments.

In a pandemic situation, the only tuition fee is deducted, I.e., 62,500Rs. every semester. Overall fees may go upto 90000Rs per semester. But if you are having SC/ST reservation or your parent's annual income is less than 1 lakh then the tuition fee is 0Rs. Apart from that if your parent's annual income is less than 5 lakhs then tuition fees are 17000Rs per semester. The scholarship department of the college will give you the details of scholarships available under various schemes. Coming to the placements, as per the no. of students passing out every year, ample no. of MNCs visit. Few core companies also visit the college like PGCIL, OIL, BEL, etc.

College life is expected to be improved as NIT Arunachal Pradesh has shifted to its permanent campus completely in 2021. There are fests like cultural, technical, etc. organized every year for offline classes. The library has almost every necessary Journals and books. Various groups of different branches are run by seniors, like ECE Students' Society, Google Students' Developer Club, etc.
