Remarks
One should pursue a rank of 10k to 16k to opt CSE related branches in the college, and can opt for other branches also. I scored 18k rank but i opted for Civil Engineering. Application Form and all will be available in the college portal where find each and every information of college( cmrtc.ac.in). Reservation benefits are available in the college where u get a free seat for a big Rank also. My friend of ST caste scored 70k rank but got a free seat in CSM And at present, the department of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are being removed so freshers can't get into these departments.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Civil Engineering as I'm interested in that field. There will be nearly 80 students in a classroom, seating facilities, benches and infrastructure is awesome, But I don't think there is well qualified teaching faculty. Out of 10 members, only 3 teach full fledged. some faculty are not confident in speaking English too. And unfortunately, we were not able to learn many things from the faculty. Some faculty do not have a good grip on the subject and they just teach for namesake most of them are Assistant Professors only, very few are Professors. Coming to Exams, we'll have ended 4 months after the start of the semester. though our's is an autonomous college, the difficulty level of question paper is high and sometimes it's very difficult for us to pass the examinations.
Internships Opportunities
Internship drives are not carried out in the college, we should search for internships outside the college and for students of core departments, it is very difficult for them to get internships during their studies because opportunities are very few. And I'm not much aware of the internships of the computer science department.
Placement Experience
I think from 3 to 2 we are eligible for campus placements. Amazon, Tata, Capgemini, IBM, Virtusa, Byjus, Tcs and other companies visit our college. I'm not much aware of the highest package but from the year college became autonomous, they are focusing on the number of placements that is they are concentrating on placing the students in some of the other companies but the packages are less. The average package is from 3.5LPA to 7LPA. and they get high packages based on their knowledge too. A maximum number of students are getting placed no matter what the package is. As I'm from the core, the placements in Core companies are being done on the campus. We Civil and mechanical Engineers should find jobs in the core after leaving the campus. I'm planning to go for coaching of UPSC examination immediately after completing my graduation because I'm sure I'm not having job opportunities for civil engineers after leaving the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
We have a tuition fee of 80000/-, Library and Jntu Fee of 17000/-. free seat students should pay 17000/- in the first year and juz 5500/- for the remaining years. we get a scholarship of 5500/- from the government( for sc candidates). we can pay this fee in terms also but before the commencement of the semester examinations.
Campus Life
There are many clubs on the campus: luminous club, Lexis club, NSS club, Akriti club, Social Media Club, Sports Club. But these clubs are not being active because of the Pandemic. Every year we celebrate Annual day, Traditional day, Dussehra festival but covid changed the entire scenario. We are not able to conduct the Annual fest which is a very big event for us. Much wide variety of books and journals are available in the Library. Classrooms have all necessary facilities good benches, good infrastructure, smart class facility, etc sports and extra curriculum activities are also there for those who participate, and INTER BRANCH SPORTS MEET is conducted once a year. There is a Social Media club and I'm not much aware of the websites which are run by students because all of them will be handled by management itself.
Other Applied Colleges
Gokaraju Rangaraju | civil and ece
I didn't opt for this college because the other expenses in college are more compared to tuition fee
