Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education - B.Tech [Aeronautical Engineering]

The admission process in our college is based on the ranks and scores we get in the entrance exams like JEE, TSEAMCET, as well as 12th marks. All the students who cleared 12th can apply for admission. Reservation benefits are not here but we have a scholarship for students who have scored higher marks in their respective board exams and entrance exams.

I chose Aeronautical Engineering out of interest. The Faculty-Student ratio is 1:8. The Faculty are well trained and are Ph.D. holders. The teaching method are very good and the students are able to understand clearly the concepts.

Many Companies come forward to offer internships to our students. Internshala is one of the platform offering internships to students. The students here publish many articles in many International Journals with the valuable guidance of our faculty.

From 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. The University has tie-up's with many MNC's and upto 95% students are placed in good companies. The highest package till now is 42LPA and the average package varies from 6-7LPA. The overall placements in the campus are very good.

The fees is 120000 for non-scholarship students and varies to the scholarship holders. Their is no hike in the fees and the fees for four years of college is same as the fees at the time of admission. Scholarships are provided upto 100% based on the merit in the 12th exams and entrance exams likeJEE, TSEAMCET, etc.

Life inside the campus is very enjoyable and stressless. There are many technical and non-technical conducted in the campus. There is one of the largest Libraries in the campus which is open till midnight. The classrooms are fully Air-Conditioned with both green and white boards. The campus have one of the largest grounds with running 400m running track, an indoor stadium and a gym.

The facilities provided in the hostel are very good. We have different types of rooms which are 2 bedded, 3 bedded, attached, non-attached, a/c, and non-a/c. The food is very good and has different types of mess like South Indian, North Indian which is to be chosen at the time of registration. The registration of the hostel is through online mode and is very easy to register for a hostel. The minimum fees for a hostel start from 25000 and vary with the type of room.
