Remarks
The whole admission process solely depends upon your JEE Mains rank obtained. No other option is available for admission other than this. All the important notice about admission and counseling comes on the official website of JUT that is JCECEB. All the application forms and dates will be provided there. If you've reservation then you can apply for the same with your updated certificate. Only students from the state of Jharkhand can apply for the admission process as birth certificate and residential certificate is needed at the time of admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty members are good and knowledgeable. They teach brilliantly. You'll understand the concepts well and if you don't, you can ask them personally anytime you want. The course taught is great and makes you industry-ready if you work hard to gain some extra skills. The professors here are highly skilled with a PhD degree from top IIT's in their respective subjects. So they have vast knowledge about the same. Semester exams are not that difficult if you work a little hard. Even if you start studying a week before exams, you can score more than the average CGPA. The pass percentage is 5 CGPA. However, everyone can pass if they have little knowledge about the subjects.
Internships Opportunities
As of now, no internship opportunities have been provided by the college but it shall successfully begin from the year 2022 for students of third and fourth year. Companies like TATA, Reliance, Vedanta etc., will be providing internship opportunities to students.
Placement Experience
Placement offers at BIT Sindri were not upto the mark earlier, but since 2020, it has improved quite a lot and is going to improve further more. In production, the highest package offered this year was 8.5 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.5 LPA. Out of 50 students, 36 students got placed with an average package of 4 LPA, which is not that good but decent. Top companies like Wipro, TCS, TATA, etc., offer placements to students in the production branch.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees is absolutely less than any other college there. You can complete your whole 4 year B.Tech course under 2 lakhs. For girls, fees is almost negligible as compared to boys. There are scholarships available as well for those who can't afford the fees like e-kalyan and others. You can check the eligibilty for those on the official website of college.
Campus Life
The campus library is upto the mark with almost every quality book available there for your help. Various fests are organised by different clubs in every month. The annual fest is conducted in the month of November or December. Classrooms here are spacious and good but the desks and chairs are a bit old which needs to be upated and it surely will. There are a lot of playgrounds for sports. Different kinds of sports competitions like cricket, vollyball, basketball etc are held quite frequently. There are more than 10 clubs and groups for student with what so ever interest they have. Campus is awesome but only if you've a lot of friends there. Campus life will be pretty awesome then.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities available are not hi-tech, but they will surely be improved. However, Wi-Fi is not available on campus now but it soon will be. The hostel for girls is quite decent as it gets renovated every year. The new hostel for both boys and girls are constructed this year, which are quite nice. Mess food is not that great but adjustable. All kinds of medical facilities are available in every hostel. Hostels and rooms are provided before going to the college itself through a form provided by the institution.
