GEC, Rajkot, Path to Bright Future

Eligibility for doing B.E ECE from Government Engineering college Rajkot you have to complete your 12th with PCM from any recognized board and then appear in GUJCET examination conducted by Gujrat board or else you can also get admission on the basis of JEE mains. After that, you have to pay 300 ACPC fees and fill out the form for counseling. Students from the backward classes can get reservation benefits in terms of relaxation in cutoffs. The entire addition process was online and conducted smoothly.

To become a professional Engineer from my interested subject Electronics I chose GEC, Rajkot which is best government college for ECE I chosen this course. Our faculties are among one of the best faculties and they are class1 government officers and for that, they have gone through difficult exams which makes them the best faculties, Most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders and for the class of 150 students there are 3-4 faculties in each subject. Faculties use very convenient language and teaching method for teaching in each mode offline as well as online due to pandemics. This year class size increased from 120 to 150 due to the heavy demand of ECE branch in GEC,Rajkot. Every Semester we have to give 2 exams mid-semester and end semester.

In the final year we have to do a project under the guidance of faculty or else go for an internship in any Industry before getting a degree. On the basis of experience at Internship or Project, we can get the attractive package in placement for which we will be eligible in the final year. Companies like TCS, etc visit campus and recruit in mass. Packages of around 25K to 35K per month are most common i.e. you can say average package for Electronics and Communication branch. The college has an active placement cell that works harder every year to improve Placements every year, Jay Pandya Sir is operating a Placement cell at the college or you can say he is the faculty coordinator for Placements.

I have paid only 1500 fees for an entire year at the time of admission and now we have to just pay exam fees. There are no fees hike policy and girls have 0 fees. As I'm from General criteria I don't get any scholarships but students from reservation classes get scholarships like digital Gujrat, MYSY, etc.

The college organizes many types of Events every year but Brezinger is the biggest tech fest in the entire Rajkot where students from different parts of Gujarat and events out of Gujarat come to college and participate in it. There are different types of competitions including both tech and non-tech. The college has one of the best collections of books in the library and a great floor area and sheeting arrangement in the library. We can get all types of books and journals in the library. The college has bad spots facility and there is only one unmaintained ground. There are lots of social groups and college some of them which I know is NCC, NSS, Gate Club, Code chef, Coders for Electronics.
