St Joseph - A best college for student who wish to get well placed in a company

I took 151.5 cutoffs and joined through TNEA. It was quite easier for me to join the college because I got a seat in round 2 of counselling without any problem. Their admission to the college process is also quite easier. They will ask to submit all the certificates to the admission centre and they will ask to pay the first year fees to avail Roll number, ID card, books and other facilities. Once the admission process is over they will start the class for the semester.

Chemical engineering is a rare course and it is available only in a few colleges in Chennai. It has great value when we are placed in a core company. Here the faculty is very good. They always maintain proper time management. They always provide a sufficient amount of notes for each topic. Students are free to ask any doubts regarding academics with staff. Here all the staff completed their Mtech and a few staff completed their PhD. They teach through the board and chalk piece method and PowerPoint method too. After every completion of a unit, an internal exam will be conducted. It will be easier to pass when we cover the topics which the staff says.

From 5th semester students are eligible to do internship and it is made compulsory to do an internship in 3 years. Credits scores are given for internships for 3 year students. Students do mini projects before internship. A stipend average of 5000-10000 is given for students. Wipro, TCS, Accenture company allow students to take part in internship programs. Online Internship programs are also conducted in college and students are advised to to such programs in COVID times.

Placement is the best facility in our college. From 7th semester students are eligible to attend campus placements. Wipro TCS Infosys Accenture Amazon Microsoft is the top company. 2105 offers is the current total number of offers in the academic year 2021. The Highest salary package is 20Lpa and minimum salary package is 2.7 LPA and the average salary package is about 4.5Lpa. Almost 85% of the students get placed every year. My plan is to get placed in a company of salary package more than 3LPA after my degree.

Fess vary here to the individual student. A student who joins through TNEA counselling have different fees and a student who join through management quota have different fees. TNEA counselling students have to pay 158000 per year. SC and St scholarship is provided in college. First Graduate scholarship is also provided in the college. loan facilities can also be done in the college apart from that OBC scholarship is also given in the college which has to be availed after producing the necessary documents. They will collect No due form fees of 6000 at each semester apart from that Special examination fees such as BEC, Placement training fees is also collected.

College life will be strict when compared to other colleges but here every event is done and celebrated under some protocols. There will be several celebrations during festival times. Cultural and Symposium are conducted in even semesters. Bookbank is available in college where we can collect books using a pass and the college Library is present in the college where we can read other books for reference. Cricket, Football, Hockey, Volleyball and athletic games are conducted in the college. Indoor games are also conducted in college. English club, Mathematics Clubs, Civil clubs are present in college. NGO's trip is conducted every semester. Industrial Visit is also provided every year.
