This is a great medical college

I took GUJCET. It is a competitive exam of Gujarat which has MCQ based question on PCB subjects 40% marks from this mcq test and 60% marks from class 12th board results are added up to form a total of 100%.

The curriculum is based on standard MBBS curriculum. There are 3 years covering a span of 4.5 years followed by 1 year of internship.

Medicals colleges post students to civil hospitals,rural and urban health centres as medical officers to check and learn work. Refarding stipend i do not know much as i am in 2nd year myself.

Not applicable to medical profession. A doctor is never jobless. Most prefer to set up their own clinics or join up private hospitals. Some prefer working in government hospitals as professors and doctors.

Varuous seminars are held for academic knowledge and we have a few great cultural events in which most of the students of the college actively participate. We have Sports week and cultural week. This tends to help develoo extra curricular skills.

It is 1.25 Lacs per semester. Some might call it a bit high but medical colleges are costly and this is relatively feasible. Otherwise private colleges go up to 7-8 lacs plus many have donations too. This college does not have donations. Though there is an NRI quota 15% with fess 21000 USD fees.

The college does not provide loan facilities as far as i know but that is easily managable personally. I do not have much information about scholarships given.

Gender ratio is almost 55:45,girls:boys. The camous life is pretty fun when you have the right company. We have people from all religions and the campus is very tolerant. There are people from vatious economic classes but equality is shown towards everyone. The laps are very active and teach students well. Sporrs facilities are mediocre.

The hostels are much better than any govt. College's hostel with a TV room,a gym,solar water heaters filtered drinking water supply,regular cleaners. The hostel fees is a nominal 3000 per semester. We have many options for food like 2-3 different mess and various tiffin serivces. But there is nothing like Home food.

This is a new college so there are no alumni yet. But the seniors are very helpful if you ask the right people. Interaction between different batches is mediocre but acceptable.

Being in medical profession exams are to be expected. But they are not very hectic and provide adequate time to prepare.
