Remarks
We had to fill the application form at GGSIPU websites , and then the counselling procedure would follow. Application fees - 1200rs And then had to pay 40,000rs to freeze the seat. It takes many days for the counselling process and keeps students in a hanging position, I would like if this becomes quite faster and transparent.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to do engineering in technology. Faculty here is quite professional and understanding. I did take admission in corona phase so did not get many chances to visit college , everything happened online only , weekly assignments were scheduled , mid terms to happen once in a semester. Paper's difficulty was moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Many students were placed Amazon , Direct-i ,Oracle as Software Engineer Development , project managers on an average of 10-12lacs per annum , some were placed for even more than 3lacs , and 1 for approx 44.5lac .
Placement Experience
College placements is somewhere around average. College does have a placement cell and students are being approached through mails for internship opportunities and many more , in campus placement is not that high, but outside campus is very huge , about 70-80 percent students are being placed every year and some in big companies like amazon and oracle. My plan is to acquire a good placement or perusing MS for further studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is very high according to the facilities and infrastructure offered by the college . No play ground , no sports facilities, very less fests and events . Scholarships are morely focused on minority community as this is a sikh minority college . Many good companies take placement from the college like amazon , direct - I etc . the highest package offered this year was 44lac approx which is very good. College has a placement cell which is moderately active and helps students with internships and more exploration.
Campus Life
Annual fest and tech fest has not been conducted once in this corona time , but before college uses to have one annual fest singers , celebrity others would come to perform. College has a huge library and books are issue from college library to the student. There is not outdoor sports as Cricket , football , tennis etc in the college but has a basket ball court and in the matter of extra curricular activities also the college lacks. There are many societies which are run by college students , ETC dramatic society , music society , poetry , management and etc.
Interview Experience
no admission was based on IIT-JEE score only. There were no GD or any interview questions. Students can apply if they have apppeared in the jee exam and has scored well and has cleared intermediate with good marks
