Though it is not a premier institute like the IITs or the NITs, it is the best engineering college for students no other college in the surrounding areas come any close.
Entrance Preview
The entrance exam is Karnataka CET which comprised of 180 marks. ^0 marks each for Physics, Chemistry and Maths. I scored 144. I chose this college over other because of the brand value the strong alumni network and super strong placements in 2007, this was the only college in south karnataka to post a 100% placement.

Internships Opportunities
Nitte has tied up some foreign universities universities for student exchange program, PSU, Harrisburg, USA ritsumeikan University, Japan national university of singapore. The college offers internship with a stipend of Rs 20000/month.
Placement Experience
Nitte has a solid history of placements starting from 1994 with Kirloskar Snydergeneral as the first company. Nitte boasts of 100% placement record it has a batch strength of 600 - 650. There are many MNCs that visit campus for placements. The top Indian IT companies visit Nitte before visiting any campus in udupi district.
College Events
Anandotsava is the college fest celebrated every year there are host of other cultural fests that take place during the course.In addition to it, it also carries out technical symposium called "Tech Nidarshan" and techno cultural fest by the name " Anaadyanta".

Fees and Financial Aid
Yes Syndicate and corporation bank offers education loans for nitte students at less rate. Though i didn't personally avail any loan from them, but there are friends of mine who have availed loans and were able to pay easily owing to less rate of interest.
Campus Life
The Nitte campus is the best i have seen till date. It startd with a big temple of lord shiva and followed by greenatu all along. Tall buildings and different workshop labs post officer and ATMs are inside the campus.There is good gender diversity the hostel parties are awesome.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is available for both boys and girlsEvery hostel has solar heated facility, generators, common telephone, TV room, reading room/ library, visitors parlour, water coolers etc. The timings for the boarders are as follows boys: 10 pm Girls : 07:30 pm hostels by far have been the best part of an Nitte students life.
Alumni/Alumna
The college seniors are the best you will get to learn a lot from them. They can be the pillar of guidance for you in troubled times as well nitte has a strong alumni base so every year, may alumni visit nitte and share their experience and boost student morale.
Exam Structure
As nitte is a autonomous college, the exam structure and schedule was really good. The labs and classes were properly arranged so that there is no overlap of either. The lab practicals used to be carried out weeks before the semester exam giving students enough time to prepare for the theory exams.
Faculty
The professors here are very helpful even outside the classes. Schedule can be a bit hectic at times. Tests are conducted regularly and assignments are also given often. Quality of teaching is satisfactory.
