Experience as a student in EMPI Business School

I appeared for admission in EMPI business school after clearing the CMAT entrance exam and scored 79.80 percentile. The admission process consists of various rounds. Initially, I was interviewed by the Vice- President Dr. Abira Saran madam of EMPI business school, then I was given a case study to solve, for further interview round with the Dean Dr. Premasish Roy Sir.

The course curriculum is well planned and relevant to the scope of getting placed in a company with multiple specializations based on the choice of the students and their interests. The total students are divided into different groups according to the total strength and also due to the online classes, the groups are formed on the basis of the specializations. The faculties are very senior and great inexperience, also some faculties have practical experience in the industry. The very senior faculties belong to the reputed institutions of our country. The teaching method of faculties is good and they try to provide good conceptual knowledge of the management and working besides the theoretical knowledge, the online platform creates problems sometimes. Exams take place in form of mid-term, assignments, and end-term in a duration of 6 months in order to provide more opportunities to students in order to enhance their skills by doing other certifications and internships.

As a second-year student till now, the companies that came for the internship opportunities are Insplore consultants Pvt ltd, CRISIL, Agile Capital Services, Reliance Jio, SMC global, ANAND RATHI group, SmartSoc (MNC), Woxen Digital Pvt ltd, Behear corporate Pvt ltd, The Capital Box and Orangestar logistics Pvt Ltd. Stipends were provided in the range of 4000-10000 as per performance, and various types of job roles were related to HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.

The placement for the students generally starts from the 3rd semester onwards and the SIP(summer internship programme) starts from the 2nd semester onwards for taking advantage of the opportunities and to complete the internships during the gap between the 2nd and 3rd semesters. Also during the internship or the 3rd semester onwards, some companies come and provide PPO( Pre-placement offer). As a second-semester student, I am also sitting for interviews for internships provided by the college. I can sit for college placement and also take advantage of the AIC( Atal Incubation Centre) for working on my start-up idea.

The current fee structure is 7,75,000 for two years of PGDM course, which includes different kinds of charges as per the facilities provided by the institution. The hostel facility is also provided to the students which have its separate charges. The fee might differ as per the various regulations or the scholarships acquired. Students can avail various scholarships as per their outstanding performances in academics, outstanding achievement in the entrance exams, also scholarships are provided to the ward of defense personnel and police personnel. Various internship opportunities are provided for the summer internship programme and companies come with a stipend from 4000-15000 based on the companies and performance of the candidate.

Its been 2 years since the pandemic has arrived and institutions in Delhi are closed for physical classes. The same is the scenario with this institution and classes are taking place through online mode. The campus is a clean and green place, situated in a well-known satbari, chattarpur farmhouse area. The campus has various facilities such as a gym, basketball court, library, an open-air 'Amphitheatre' for various events, advanced computer labs (Bot labs, IBM AIC, AI lab) artificial intelligence laboratory. But due to the pandemic, we are not able to take benefit of the facilities.

I have appeared for two rounds of interviews for the admission procedure, which were taken by the Vice- President Mrs. Abira Saran madam and the Dean Mr. Premasish Roy sir, also I was given a case study to solve prior to the interview. The Interview was taken in a proper way in which I was asked about myself, my academics, my learning, hobbies, my family, my work experience, my interests, also why I want to join their institution etc., I have prepared for the interview myself and also I previously had some experience of interviews, which helped to face the interview with confidence.
