Entrance Preview
In Tamil Nadu, to join a college Entrance is not necessary and therfore we have a different system like, Cut off marks is calculated from the physics, chemistry and computer science. The cutoff is for 100 and i got 73 and i chose my college ( St joseph's Institute of Technology), From my childhood i had a dream of becoming an Electronic and communication Engineer.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was bit difficult to understand. All the details of the subject are given in the depth manner and each subject we had was our core subject. First year was a Mixture curriculum because we studied all the subject like we did in 12th standard except language, From second year we had to take the core subject. In the final year we had a option to select our own subject from a few subject.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides a internship only for two departments ECE and EEE. Only single company BSNL is associated with our college. Internship is basedbased purely on merit basis, only selected students who scores more than 7.9 cgpa is allowed to participate in the internship and the whole fees ( stipend) is given college even the travel allowance is given by college for merit students.
Placement Experience
The total number of students in the final year was 450 and the eligible students for placement was 250 only. The first slot company where CTS, Infosys and wipro. First company was CTS to conduct the preliminary exam and nearly 100 cleared the first round and Finally 50 got selected and their package where 3.2 lakh per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Overall fee structure is high compared to other college. Over all per year it takes about 1,35,000. In that 30,000 is for hostel, 20,000 for bus and 45,000 for studies and 10,000 for books and stationary item.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loans are not provided by the management but scholarship are given to the top scorers in the semester. The scholarship is like a concession to the yearly fee. 20,000 is reduced for the meritorious students who get scholarship, other than this anna University provides a scholarship based on the community.
