IIT Kanpur Review

B.Tech is the oldest program of IIT Kanpur and from the beginning my preference of IIT Kanpur as it provides good placement, the college is popular for its faculty and research work. To be part of any IIT in India we should be very good in academics I was also able to secure 81% in the board exam. I was able to meet the cutoff eligibility of the college and I immediately applied for my JOSAA counselling as the seats in IIT Kanpur are limited. I was able to secure a seat in IIT Kanpur and IIT Kanpur turned out to be the best decision of my life.

The curriculum of the college is best. The curriculum gives us the proper knowledge about programming and coding. The curriculum is very interactive and uses case studies, quizzes techniques, assignments, project work methods so that every concept is properly cleared. The curriculum is properly synced with real-world scenarios.

The internship is compulsory but if any of us is involved in any kind of research work can skip the internship by providing the relevant document in front of the placement committee of the college. The stipends for internships start from Rs. 25000/- and goes up to Rs. 1,00,000/-. Around 25+ companies visited our campus for the internship program

The college placements are as per the standards of IITs. and we all know that the IITs, NITS, and IIMs provides one of the best placements in India. The college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee is very supportive and the college placement committee is fully responsible for our performance during the placement rounds as the committee provides assistance and guidance during placements. The highest package for our batch was around 65 LPA and the average salary package was around 20 LPA. 95+ companies visited our campus for the college placement drive.

The college provides scholarship on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. ANTARAGNI is the college annual fest. The college provides a good environment for studies and project work. The college also organises competetion like debates, quizzes, dancing, music. and singing. The college library is full of many national and international books and international journals are also available. The college infrastructure is well maintained the college provides a good opportunity for research. The labs are modern.

The hostel facility is one of the best of IIT Kanpur. The hostel rooms are big and properly ventilated. The bathrooms are very well cleaned. The hostel has a cafeteria facility that is open for 22 hours. The hostel also has sports facilities like basketball, volleyball court, badminton courts. The hostel has a separate TV room and separate reading room. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of water, power supply. The hostel mess food is very good and healthy. In short, the hostel provides us with all kinds of basic and modern food facilities.

The faculty of the college are very expert and well experienced. Every faculty member has PhD degree in their respective domain. The faculty is very interactive and their experience is very beneficial for us as they are always ready to share their knowledge and experience with us.
