Remarks
For enrolling in polytechnic courses minimum educational qualification required is matriculation. Polytechnic entrance forms come out every year. It's a state-level examination. So I filled JCECEB polytechnic entrance examination form after the 10th board. Please note that polytechnic is equivalent to 10+2. The admission process was smooth we filled the form, after board, we appeared for the test got our merit list prepared then appeared for counseling, and then went to college for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had no idea about Electrical engineering I just chose this out of a recommendation from my family member. Faculty to student ratio in GP adityapur is quite poor but this is not the concern because the students who come to adityapur polytechnic are very meritorious and intelligent so you'll get competitive surroundings. The examination is decided by the university, college doesn't have any role in this.
Internships Opportunities
Since adityapur is an industrial area so we get many internship opportunities. I had done my internship in Auto cluster in plc SCADA for this I had to pay about 4k. But there are many organizations like idtr tool room, power grid, etc.
Placement Experience
After the 5th sem, you'll be eligible for the placement. Many core companies visit our campus like TATA POWER, TATA STEEL, JINDAL STEEL, ADITYA MITTAL NIPPON STEEL, CEAT, L&T. Average package is around 3 LPA. In Electrical almost more than 50% of the batch gets placed every year. This time in my junior batch 18 of them was placed in TATA power out of a batch of 50.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee in GP adityapur is very low since it's state govt. funded. If you are from general then you'll have to pay around 3k yearly for the tution fee and 1k per sem for examination form. And if you belong to obc sc st with an annual family income of less than 70k then you will get an e Kalyan scholarship where all your expenses get refunded to your bank account.
Campus Life
Fest is generally organized by students and in these covid times, it's very harsh to organize in offline mode. Yes, there's a library in college you won't need to buy a book from the store since you will get 4 books issued each time in the library. There's also a reading room in the library. The classroom is quite big but the infrastructure of the college is not in many conditions.
Hostel Facilities
For a hostel, you need to pay around 1k per year and you will get a bed, table with drawer, chair, and shelf to keep your things. The mess is neat and clean and the food is also good, you will get 3 times nonveg a week in the mess it cost around 2.1k per month as of 2022.
