Overall good experience and best university

Eligibility B.com (Hons)- 10+2 with 60% above. So you can say everyone is eligible to appear in BCom Hons entrance(maths is also not compulsory in 10+2 for BCom Hons in AMU and bhu). Rest depends upon your merit. 65 is a safe score out of 100. The application form you can fill out from AMU official website amu.ac.in and the application date is also announced on it, so keep checking. It is most probably come in march April if everything is going smoothly. The application fee is 600 rupees per application for generals. There is the reservation for internal students (who have done 10+2 from AMU school), then Sc/St/obc and PWD and CA student (employees quota) and ews quota too. But there is no Muslim or minority quota. There are 100 seats for girls and 180 seats for boys in BCom. I think the admission process is good but it does have too much of quotas like internal quota and Staff quota should be removed. As it prevents many deserving students to get admitted.

I chose this course because I am a commerce student and wanted to further study in the same feild and also because I wanted to be an entrepreneur, I think I can learn a lot through this course. In my women's college faculty:student ratio is 2:25. So my faculty teachers are very qualified, they all are definitely Ph.D. holders and have lots of teaching experience, our accounts teacher used to teach in a top university in Saudi Arabia. Terms exams are very timely, and it is not too hard to pass if you study properly. And attend classes.

From the 6th semester, students got eligible for campus placement. And I am currently in the second semester so I don't have many details. Almost 50% got placed. But my plan after getting the degree is to give gmat and do MBA from abroad teachers are very supportive and help the student to apply abroad.

The fee is very low in AMU- I have just paid 9000 for the hostel and tuition for a year. (~6500- tuition & 2500- hostel) AMU provides really good opportunities for scholarships, they keep track of all scholarships and ask us to fill out forms if eligible. So you can apply for central gov or state gov scholarships too and there are some private scholarship opportunities too that AMU provides. I am currently a 1st-year student so I don't have much idea about jobs and stipends but I heard our seniors got placed in good companies.

Sir Syed day is a huge event organized by University. Fresher parties are organized by the seniors for newly enrolled. I don't know about tech fest. Maulaana Abdul kalam library is Asia's biggest library and has tons of books. Also, every hostel have their own library and common reading room Almost every sport is made available for the student of the University also it has horse riding club and swimming club's which is popular among the student's but swimming club if only for boys. And girls can join the horse riding club. Sports club, Ali society, NGO, education club and there are many more clubs which are run by the students.

I live in three beds room so it had three study tables, three cupboards, and separate almirahs also. The meal provided by my hostel is pretty good at a low cost. The registration process is very simple for the hostel while filling out the application form you will just have to select the hostel facility then you will be automatically registered for the hostel. Then after getting selected you have to go to the hostel and fill out one form. I don't have to rent a room or pg because I got selected for hostel accommodation.
