Goa Medical College one of Asia's oldest colleges, provides a variety of courses on its campus. So as usual we need to take the NEET ENTRANCE EXAM and submit ur neet mark sheet at the directorate of technical education porvorim, then the rounds will take place there and u get the seat according to merit. Overall the college has excellent faculty, we have smart classrooms and a number of other extracurricular clubs that help us grow. We have a huge patient load allowing us to witness a plethora of cases. The hostel and mess are not that great but it's livable. The library is equipped with all the Books You need and provides internet facilities. The fees of the whole course are around 5 lakhs to 6 lakhs. It's 50%concession on tuition fees for the reserved.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mbbs was always my passion I always wanted to be a doctor and goa being the home state I always dreamt of being a student here to serve our people. The faculty is excellent and full of skills and experience. The smart classrooms are being used n technology is at its fullest, with state of the art infrastructure.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is for 1 year in goa medical College itself where we work on all the departments for d year. We are paid a stipend of 20 k /month. Later we also have bond residentship for 1 year which includes service in rural or urban health care
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 5lakhs to 6 lakhs for the whole course if reservation then there is a 50% concession on tuition fees All India quota fees are higher being 9 lakhs per course. There are many scholarships like the ongc sc/st scholarship, matriculation with 75% scholarship etc.
Campus Life
We have many fests and workshops Plexus is the programme GMC looks forward to we have DJ's and various prominent people being a part of our fest. Comecon is a medical workshop that allows students from our med college and other medical Colleges to participate in various suturing, psychiatry, obg workshops. The medical ball usually held in September-October is a formal event where the entire medical alumni from our college come together. We have the king and queen of the ball night. Last but not least the fresher's party.
