College Review for Jagannath Kishore College, Purulia

The Admission process is significantly nice, online registration, document verification, and then admission and commencement of classes. I hardly see if there is any improvement in the admission required. Everything is nice.

Computer science was my favourite and I like to learn about machines. Game development is my ambition so I chose computer science. The faculty is nice here. Teachers have very good qualifications ( our head of department is MTech) and everyone here has very polite behaviour and is very cooperative. Everything reminds me of my school life. The school was better though.

The fee is around rs15000 for the whole course period of 3 years for bachelor's courses. Postgraduate degrees in mathematics are also available here. Students generally enroll mostly for SVMCM and OASIS scholarships and other scholarships such as the post-matric scholarship.

A lot of useful books suggested according to CBCS-SKBU guidelines are available here. A neat and clean library, classrooms for the mathematics department are very well furnished. Other departments are also well maintained. There are two computer labs for the computer science students and some others for other departments such as geology. The student's union there is run by the 2nd and 3rd-year students who are very helpful. While speaking of other activities, college arranges various competitions, events like indoor and outdoor games, music, dance, fests, Saraswati puja occasion, annual day and lot of other events like plantation day, a fest for NSS, cultural programmes and fresher's party in which all the students participate willingly and enthusiastically.
