Remarks

Regarding infrastructure, it is the best college in Kolkata being the largest also. Some articles also say that it is the cleanest institution. Campus life is excellent. Seniors are very very supportive. Literally, no ragging is done. The campus environment is also fruitful. Placement is also very good here. Academics are also excellent having one of the best professors. Recently it has been ranked the best government super specialty hospital of West Bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

MBBS was one of my dreams and it's a great feeling in studying MBBS in one of the best institutions in India. Each department has nearly 20 or more than that number of faculties handling a mass of 200 students. Each and every faculty is very helpful. They all give their best to give you the knowledge of the subject. They are very helpful also, especially in their doubt solving sessions are very helpful. There are 3 internal semesters and finally the university exam. It's not too difficult to pass if you have the basic knowledge of the subject you will pass and remember the previous year's questions

Internships Opportunities

4.5

While doing internship you get a very good amount of experience because the patient load is so much.Generally you get 25000 per month while doing internship.Doing internship in a government college gives you a sound experience due to its high patient load.Nearly in a day more than 500 patients visits each department.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees Structure consists of 9000 per year and nearly 2000 will be required for university registration and for enrollment for university exams. If you are a hostility 12 rupees per month will be required excluding food charges. So, the fees structure is very very less as compared to colleges of other states like Maharashtra and Bihar. The scholarship is provided by the college for which there is an income limit below which you can get the scholarship in which you have to pay half of the annual fees.

Campus Life

4.5

Annual fest normally happens between November to January which is very very excellent. It contains so many events including sports also. You will really enjoy everything about the fest. In the library, you will get every book that you want. The library is also very big and the best place to study especially during exams. The college is situated in the heart of Kolkata and many parks, clubs, malls are near it where you can go and chill out.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
