A College With School Like Discipline and Education System.

I was the General Secretary (Head of Student Council) of my college. Speaking of management, its amazing. There are weekly tests, Tutorials for week students, lots of extra curricular activities etc. They also help you prepare for your entrance exams for Msc. under the Entrance Exam Preparation Cell Unit. So over all the college has the perfect balance of everything that is needed for a student to develop and become useful to the Indian Society as well as prosper in his own field of study.

I appeared for the GUJ-CET and secured 92.75% Percentile. I opted for this college as it is Accredited A Grade by NAAC and if often considered the second best college in terms of its faculty after MSU,Vadodara.I was selected on the basis of my 12 class merit. There is no interview, only students can opt for stream counselling if they are not sure before deciding their course.

The course structure is great. Since I opted for Bsc. Biotech., I had two core subjects - 1. Biotechnology 2. Biochemistry. The Biotech course focused on topics such as Animal Cell Culture, Immunology and assays, Plant breeding and culture, Genetic Recombination and other Molecular Techniques.While The Biochemistry course focused on topics such as Vitamins, Enzymes, Bio-statistics,Proteins etc.I also had two elective subjects ie. Microbiology & Botany.Over all the course curriculum was excellent and was perfectly balanced.

College provides internship in guidance with your Head of the Dept. You must ask them at least 2 months prior to your decision to go for an internship.I have a very vague idea, but yes you can do internships in institutes like MSU or SPU. The selection depends purely on the basis of your merit.You may also intern with companies such as Life Cell, or Tata Communications. The Stipend is usually not given until it is a government funded project.

These days Majority of the students never opt for placements directly after completing their Bachelors. However we have over 5 companies who appeared for campus recruitment's.Life Cell, which specializes in Stem Cell Banking recruited two people from my batch with a starting salary of 16,000 per month.

We have celebrated Days such as 1. Sadbhaavna Day 2. Teachers Day 3. Inter college Science Model Presentation - Kaushalya 20164. Thalassemia Awareness and Blood Donation drives 5. Adani Port Visit at Okha, Gujarat and many many more actually. The events are big with biggest one being the annual day which is the last event celebrated in the year.

The Fee I believe is feasible. You could pay the fees in two installments or at once. The total fees including all charges per year is as follows:1. 39,500/- for First Year2. 38,500/- for Second and Third Year. Also 1400/- per year is charged as University Examination Fee.

Yes scholarships are offered to the special categories such as SC/ST/OBC. They may be full or partial scholarships depending upon the merit.Also scholarships of 20,000/- are awarded if you come first in the university in terms of merit. Hence nearly 50% of your overall fee is refunded.You may pay the fees in installments if required or can opt. for a student loan.

Talking about Gender Ratio, We had a batch of 650 students in First year total spread of 9 Divisions of different Fields such as Bsc Genetics, Bioinformatics, Biotech, Micro etc.Workshops and Culturual activities were always on the calendar, There was a women development cell dedicated to empowering women with activities such as Karate and Rifle Shooting being taught.There was no such issue regarding religion or race to the best of my knowledge.

Hostel Facilities were great with Proper Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner served. We also had a college canteen and a lot of eateries nearby our college. The Hostel Fees were 16,000/- per year for Boys. (Without Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner). You need to pay an additional 3000/- for including food. The Hostel Fees were 12,000/- per year for Girls. (Including Brekfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Yes its pretty useful. The network functions excellently on Facebook and every year there is a alumni program in which the previous records are updated while all the Ex Students meet and gather which is then followed by Dinner.The ex students or my seniors basically helped me a lot in deciding my university for Masters.

It was balanced, I would say. To be honest, a slight hectic schedule is exactly what you need to get the best out of yourself. So the weekly tests and thrice in a week lab sessions just did the job perfectly.We have External University Examinations at the end of every semester, The over all result is based on your performance in all the six semesters.

All the faculty members are highly qualified with majority of them being doctorates.They relentlessly are devoted to teaching and help you understand the topics with great ease. Most of the professors are CSIR-NAAT Qualified and have teaching experience of over 20 years. They use English/Hindi while teaching, however most of it is generally English.The Class Counselor takes utmost interest in person scores of each child in his or her class. They regularly send letters to your home informing them about our progress.
