A brief review of one of the most prestigious university of India, Aligarh Muslim University

I applied for the exam through online mode, the registration fees was very nominal. The centres for the entrance exam are widely spread throughout the major cities of the country and the eligibility criteria was about 35 marks. However, I got selected through the waiting list, fortunately, there is a high probability of getting selected through the waiting list becouse of high number of seats. The application form could be easily found on the official website of the college, i.e., https://www.amu.ac.in the application date varies every year a bit. The admission process is very smooth and hassle-free.

I have always been of a very curious nature, I seek answers and when I got to know that physics is all about answers I knew that this course was for me. As I'm not backed by a much financially sound family I chose Aligarh Muslim University as I got to know that it is comparatively much cheaper besides being one of the best institutes to pursue a bachelor's degree in physics. The faculty constitutes of the much of the highly qualified teachers across the country but it's not as though there aren't many teachers who lack the skills to properly teach, with all due respect. Which is a downside of the university or at least the course I opted. I've never felt a shortage of techers for each subject there are at least six to seven teachers which gives us varies ideas in the same topic. The terms exams are mostly held as per pre-planned although in online mode there was a little hassle in the initial days but all in all it's a good experience.

There are many small and big internship apportunities for example we can help a teacher with their research and can a get a decent pay as well, which also helps us to get a better understanding of how forthcoming things do work regarding the subject.

The cost of study as aforementioned is very nominal, however I am not aware of the fees hike policy. I have not taken any scholarship or financial assistance as of now but I am sure that the University provides good scholarships.

Due to the pandemic I have not spent much time in the campus as a result of which I am not fully aware of what are all the on campus facilities of the university but one thing is known to me for sure that there are many events organised by the university throughout the year, also the university has its own well established library.
