CEG is the best

TNEA Admission process is a way to enter the college. It is followed the state government reservation including (7.5% quota for govt school students). The admission process Is based on the 12th mark cutoff.

The course and curriculum are reviewed each and every semester by the centre for academic courses. The staffs are very experienced professors and involved in a lot of research. The teaching method is ok. Students can easily pass the exam if studied one day before the exam. The student's staff ratio is 20:1. In mechanical engineering, the workshop is the best workshop in south Indian college.

Internship offers came more for circuit branches. For core branches, it is less. But doing an internship can't be a substitute for the college curriculum. It has to be managed by students both curriculum and internship.

Since it is 225 years old college.CEG placement is quite good because of the alumni network in most around the world. This academic year (2021-2022) has an 85% placement record. For cs/it student placement will be 100% with an average package of 10lpa. For mechanical 80% placement with 21 LPA as the highest package. The average package for mechanical is 5lpa. Companies like Reliance industries, caterpillar, Amazon, Wells Fargo, D&Shaw, Hyundai, Daimler and other 250+ companies visited this year.

Since it is a govt institution fees is less. For 1st graduate students, total fees for the whole year are not more than 12000. Hostel fees are around 25000 per semester. It can vary from student to student. The total college fee will be 70,000-80,000. But within the college, we have 50+ scholarship schemes. It is easy to study without any financial problems. There is a free hostel too for boys. But that's horrible.

CEG has a very vibrant campus culture. Apart from academics, it is known for its college fest techhofes, Agni and 10+ department symposium. Techofes has a history of 80+ years of traditional fest. And CEG has an iconic Kurukshetra fest for the technical fest. CEG has around 25+ student run college clubs from photography to dance, drama, social activities, Robotics, College magazine club etc. It has the best modern library with lakhs of books for the college curriculum. And has the biggest ground for sports including sports galary. And have 20+ active games.

The hostel is the most memorable place for students. For 1st year 4 people will be accommodated per room Later 4 years, the individual room was allotted for each student. The hostel has a veg and non veg mess. Mess food is above average. Weekly twice the time nonveg served.
